don't overlook Mild Dementia as part of GUTMC
It is the topic we are not supposed to address in polite company, but in addition to his baseline not being very bright and not being interested in studying hard, McCains age combined with the abuse his brain has taken (alcohol, boxing, at least 4 plane crashes, captivity and torture) there is a very legitimate issue with regard to McCain's neuropsychiatric status.
How much is just typical lying?
How much is unorganized, cranky and undisciplined?
But how much is much is mild dementia, organic brain syndrome, PTSD....? I just hope that the folks close to him are not covering the way they did with Reagan.
The flip flops, even within the same inteview (47 seconds was the record I believe)
The halting, stuttered speech? Loosening of associations, verbal salad, memory loss, squirming, stumbling, and then claiming ignorance, the mechanical hand chops and weirdly timed smiles, the anger problems and explosiveness

Sometimes he seems pretty 'on' but often he seems pretty 'confused'. Apparantly he takes something to sleep, does he take other medications to help him be 'up' and tolerate the schedule? Is that one of the reasons that he usually takes weekends off?
If his doctors won't tell, maybe the maid would?
I know, that sounds terrible but he just seems too different from one campaign stop to the next. One he will be talking quickly and with some passion, the next he is slow with no personality, like he barely has the energy for changing facial expressions. It really worries me.

I wrote about this in another post, though I'm not a doctor. But I think there's reason to be concerned.

What? I'm a war hero! I don't have to take that liberal medical crap, you un-American little bastard! If I was still flight rated, I'd strafe your house! And don't think I wouldn't. You know how I feel about those Shits and Sunnies in Iran. Hows about you move there and let me kill a few million birds with one ICBM, eh?

I posted on your duplicate thread, but it looks like this is the one that most people are commenting on, so I will repost my comment on here. Sorry for the mistake. I was experiencing a McCain moment. Here is what I said on your duplicate thread.
Well, he is soon to turn seventy two. He is not exempt from the mental ravages of aging, often referred to as senior moments. I think he is far too advanced in years to expect him to be in command of all the facts required to make decisions on things such as war or peace, and the well being of the planet.
I sometimes tell the following joke at my own expense.
What are the top three signs of aging.
One: Loss of memory,
and and, ah hell, I forgot the other two.

The other two are, uh...are, um...Crap! I had it on the tip of my tongue.

Frankly, I am anxious as to what was in those pages of his medical history that the media DIDN'T see. Same thing with his service record. I wholeheartedly agree with the conclusion that something is wrong in his brain as a result of his life experiences and as evidenced by his behavior.
