Boeing Whistleblower, Gerald Eastman, Issues Press Release
Boeing Whistleblower, Gerald Eastman, has just issued a press release which gives much information about the mechanizations employed by Boeing and those they influence and control regarding Boeings retribution against whistleblower, Mr. Eastman. This story may shock some of you, those who have not been keeping up with the outrageious activities in Justice and government and industry oversightover the past seven or so years. Reading about the travesty that has been marketed as Justice in Seattle will confirm for you that a major clean up of our government and defense contractors and major commercial corporations is long past due.
You may read the whole text at Mr. Eastman's site: www.thelastinspector.com
You may read this information also at http://whistleblowersupporter.typepad.com
and at: http://gflorencescott.wordpress.com
as well as a host of other information about and of use to whistleblowers and those who support them.

I heard on radio that the War Profiteering Act cannot be applied to current military contractors because...we're not in a state of war.
AUMF's are not declarations of war it would seem.
So detainees are not prisoners of war, war crimes could not have been committed by our Executive and we need not prosecute contractor abuse.
Neat. Tidy.

I do not know specifically about that problem, although all of that needs to be resolved as well. I met a pilot recently who was employed by the division of Boeing that was supplying the planes, pilots and flying the rendition missions. He was less than enthusiastic about his participation and quit his job. He is now flying for someone else doing less obnxious things.
But it is my opinion based on information I've seen, there is enough proof of other crimes and fraud, even beyond Mr. Eastman's whistleblowing activities, to keep ethical investigators and prosecutors busy for quite awhile. (The majority of these are not in public view, and it appears each week that passes our government, continues to move things back behind the "National Security Screen" to try to avoid exposure of the crimes, and the collusion with certain highly placed government officials.) One problem is there are open criminal cases languishing, while some coopted types try to stall and make them go away in the oversight criminal investigative authorities. (Choose your three or four letter acronym, most are involved.) Then there are the problems we've seen in the Justice Department, such as coopted or corrupted federal prosecutors, or those who want to do their job but are prevented from doing so, or if they won't do as their told, are fired summarily.
We must all continue to research and apply pressure any way we can. More people who know things specifically need to stand up.
