Another Nail in McCain's Coffin

avatar

Reaction time for a naval aviator is a rather important thing I would think. The very long pause when asked about the disparity between medical coverages for Viagra and birth control medication is telling.

Did McCain recognize the gender bias but for political or personal reasons refuse to acknowledge it? Or did he freeze because he knew he was standing at the edge of a cliff and was gripped with fear.

Maybe the MSM isn't reporting all of this stuff but it will have a cumulative effect come November. McCain has crashed before but I think the one in November will be spectacular. If he keeps clipping the treetops at this rate maybe he'll crash before November.

He was weirdly pause-y when asked about Gramm too.

I don't want to speculate about the cause, but it doesn't make him look confident, in any case.

It amazing how many times McCain has to check with others before he can reply to questions. Who, exactly, are the Republicans trying to get into office, because it's not McCain.

Yep. There seems to be a whole lot of handling going on, and there are a whole lot of unforced errors every time he goes off on his own.

For instance, CNN is now running a story saying that JM claimed he voted for a bill when he was in fact absent.

I admit that I thought the Republicans were smart to nominate JM. I no longer think that. Romney would have been a better candidate.

While Romney may have been better from a competitive standpoint republicans face an uphill battle no matter who may have been the nominee. McCain is better from a democratic perspective. He'll provide more opportunities for democrats to pick up seats in the congress. He adds rather than subtracts emphasis to the weaknesses of the republican party. The real kicker will the economy. On that score it'll be lights out for republican chances.
