A Corollary to Godwin's Law
As soon as you use "Obama" and "racism" in the same sentence, you lose.

That is blatantly false.
Is anyone calling McCain 'presumptuous' for 'daring' to run for the White House? Obama is called that for saying he thinks he has a chance. McCain ISN'T when he goes on a radio show TWICE and CALLS HIMSELF PRESIDENT!
There are many instances of Obama being called euphemisms which are easily linked to 'uppity' and it's not right.
And before you ask or accuse: I'm 42 and white, used to be Republican and served in the Navy, and hate rap. Hardly your typical race-baiter, no?

By the by, I'm 45, also white, and also a Naval veteran.
Amazing how many more democrats are vets versus how many more repukes are just armchair warriors & keyboard commandos.

You are simply proving my point by channeling every unfavorable adjective for Obama back to your own code words for racism. I suspect that you could take every single criticism of Obama and contort it to fit the "racism" mold. By doing so, you hope to shut down the conversation. Why are you so afraid of real dialogue?
I believe it is arrogant to say things like "This is the moment we've been waiting for!" Whether those words came from a black man or a white woman or an Asian transgendered individual, they reek of hubris. Saying that Obama is full of himself, especially when contrasted to his lack of real accomplishment, isn't racist; it's a legitimate opinion. Obama continually points to his color and the fact that he is running for president as some sort of golden shining moment for America; some of just see a typical liberal with nanny-state policies who is playing the race card himself in order to leverage his candidacy.
Your personal assaults on me only show your inability to argue on the merits. Produce some evidence, from interviews or polling, that show that the typical white American is now anti-Obama because he's black and because of John McCain's ad. You can't, because that isn't happening. Quit calling me names and talk; you just sound puerile with those comments above.
Conservatives don't think in those categories: "uppity" black person, "mandingo," etc. I know this because I am conservative; I talk to many conservatives; I read conservative media. Perhaps the demographic which you believe will be reflexively racist is that within your own party?

You being myopic to the strategy and dysfunctional nature of your party is hardly our fault.
