Will Bill Clinton help Obama in the Fall?
Bill Clinton has just stated that "this may be the last day that I am ever involved in a campaign like this."
Is this sour grapes? Is he saying he will not campaign for the Democratic candidate in the fall, if it is not his wife? The rhetoric sure sounds like it, but I really hope it is not true. If the Clinton team is not ardently supporting Sen. Obama in the fall, there place in the Democratic Part and history will be in jeopardy.

It is an interesting question. Obama fans probably don't want him officially speaking for the campaign in anyway (too many angry tirades and gaffes), but he could and should be used for fundraisers and for exciting the Appalachia crowds and the Latino crowds. Jeez, Bill is such a double edged sword, huh?

I think he merely means to say he won't be involved in the Obama campaign in the same way ("like this") that he's involved in his wife's.

why should he? at this point many women have no plans to vote for OBAMA regardless of what hill and bill say. this election has moved way beyond her for many of us.
let bill rest up and go back to private practice endeavors. since obama folks have stated they do not need us then they won't care if we sit this one out. remember as we have been repeatedly told its a new democratic party and you don't need women and uneducuted blue collar whites support.
you honestly think we would "work our asses off for obama???? get real.

i can hear the frustration there. there have been things said both ways in this primary, some of which have been hurtful. but i don't think anyone in Obama's inner circle thinks they can win in November without the support of Sen. (and Pres) Clinton.
Women made up 52% of the elctorate in 2004. It may be 54% this year. Obama needs to reach out to all Clinton supporters and remind them that John McCain is anti-choice and the Sup. Court will be changing in the next 4-8 yrs.
