Where are you right now?

This time of the night, I want to be somewhere mellow.  Sublime.  Bahamian.  Jamaican.  Pretend we're together at a jazz concert, maybe.  Rounds of drinks, slight smoke in the air, everyone a little bit buzzed.

Can you feel it?  Let's relax.  Get all laid back and chilled.  I'm hearing chatter, laughter, an easiness.  Kick your shoes off and come on in...

Will there be reggae later?

The sand is squishy between my toes. Wait a minute... That's not sand! Argghhh! gurgle

I'm dreaming of Hood River and listning to Branford Marsalis' Love Supreme. I can feel the wind on my face already.

Absolutely reggae, and the sand is always squishy. Wind in your face - with a humid salt backdrop.

Second only to Marley.

Ladies and gent, Peter Tosh!

Branford. Found him through his work on hip hop and got addicted.

Marley is wonderful too.

The sax is one sexy instrument, ain't it?

Wish I'd had enough sense in the day to play the sax, like I really wanted to, instead of being a third-string (okay, fourth-string) defensive back.

I'd prolly have gotten laid more.

Fourth-string DBs see limited action in more ways than one, if you get my drift.

are you a musician, Aubie?

He's a Finnish Cowboy.

I am not Finnish.

I've barely started!

Sigh... Cowboys always say that - afterwards
;)

heeee! ;-)

Afterwards for who????

/evil grin

Sorry, just afterwards. ;)

I think the question deserves an answer!

You know what I mean -

Mess around on the piano some.

More than "Chopsticks," less than Jerry Lee's "Over the Rainbow."

I own an alto sax, but I ain't very good.

If I made an album of my sax material, it would likely be titled "Kinda Blow."

And here's Jerry Lee doing Judy G's aforementioned hit.

I've seen him do MUCH better, but this ain't bad.

Dude can PLAY!

Fug!

That was Tosh again.

Try this instead:

"Kinda Blow."

I like it.

You could put it on youtube. See how it goes. See how many hits you get.

Probably lots.

"Look at this asshole thinks he can play the alto!"

Perhaps not. But even if, so what? It could end up being your niche and the more you played the better you would become.

Oh, I get it out and tinker.

But I've found that musical instruments are much like women, and the piano's responds far better better to my touch.

Either my typing or grammar skills have gone to hell.

Sheesh!

Neither..we're chillin' out, right?

Most definitively!

It's just the "prolly" thing. Be cool, Dude, relax....

I thought, with Friday being the Fourth and all, y'all might want to stop by the fireworks stand.

This particular one does double duty!

OK! The question was "afterwards for who"?

Dunno. Trying to be funny. Give me a break, give you one. Fair?

Yup.

Fair 'nuff!

;-)

(Damn, I'm easy!)

Yes. I appeared to belittle you. I am sorry.

Naw.

Not at all.

Least I didn't take it that way.

Can we play in the Jazz room?

Sure.

But like I said, I suck at sax!

(And I think I'm 'sposed to blow!)

So where's the jazz room?

Oh Good Grief. That's too easy!!

What's too easy?

I'm gettin' confuzzled ...

No insult intended. See ya later, actually have to sleep now. Jazz room later in the day, OK? Sorry I played w'th you. Serious props.

You don't owe me an apology.

Hope to see you and do some jazz soon.

Oops.

Forgot about your download limitations.

But if you have some time that you can start the download and then go do something else for a while, it's worth it.

John Coltrane is The Bomb.

I'm recommending this because it makes me feel calm, cool and relaxed. And as anyone who frequents TPM knows, a little relaxation is long overdue.

It's the long, smooth tunes and the casual conversation. The lights are dim, the crowd is swaying softly in unison.
