Websites for Electoral College Analysis

For anyone interested in making their own Electoral College analysis/predictions, I would check out the following sites:

www.270towin.com lets you manipulate the EC Map. I like this site because it allows you to easily look at the EC for every single Presidential Election in US History. If you click on a state, there's a link with historical facts and a meter that shows, historically, how left or right the state has voted. Very informative.

www.pollster.com is a site that compiles National and State polling, not only for the Presidential Election, but also for Gubernatorial and Senatorial Elections as well, on top of averages and trend charts. I'm sure most of you know about it already.

www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/ --I'm referring specifically to the polling site because it's a great compilation of polls and averages. In many ways it's easier to read than Pollster. But I think we all know RCP is a great resource in general.

www.electoral-vote.com is another site I'm sure most of you know. Updated daily based on polls, it gives a rating for every state and their weakness or strength in the Democratic or Republican column. It also has interesting articles concerning the election.

www.electionprojection.com is a site very much like electoral-vote.com, but the guy is extremely freaking accurate. More so than electoral-vote, which depends on polls. The guy here, though conservative (I believe), is extremely fair in his projections. Example of his accuracy: the only state he was wrong on was Iowa. He also predicted the popular vote pretty accurately. Highly recommended. Updated weekly.

If anyone has any other resources for predicting and analyzing the Election, please post them. It's always a great help!

www.fivethrityeight.com is a really great one, too. It pretty much has everything all the above sites do... Kinda makes this entire post useless, heh.

I just built a map based on the state by state "Poll Details" section on bottom right side the www.fivethrityeight.com web site and the results are.....

360 = Obama
177 = McCain
