The Lieberman of Oklahoma
Barack Obama will not get the endorsement of an Oklahoma superdelegate who expressed his concerns today about Obama's voting record.
U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., told the Tulsa World: "I still remain very concerned about the (Obama) voting record being the most liberal of the United States Senate."
Apparently, Boren gets his news from the National Journal and takes his cues from Joe Lieberman. Boren was elected May 15 to the board of the National Rifle Association and still supports President Bush's Iraq policy.
Are any Democrats in Oklahoma concerned about Boren's voting record?

Ripper,
This Boren sounds like a complete Moron.
First he says that he will not endorse Senator Obama, and then he turns around and said that he is voting for Democrats this year because it is very important. Boren needs to get off his Stupidity Pills.
By the way Ripper, what are you going to do with the McCain list you were collecting?.

I plan on weeding through it to put together a clean list of discreet items. Not many are sourced, and I want to put the links to sources in also. Then I'm going to repost it for distribution to to the public. I could use some help if you're interested, but don't sweat it if you have your own projects.

Dave Boren is President of OU and an ex Senator and he's endorsed Obama. So has the current Governor, Brad Henry. As did the Dem who is running for Inhoffe's Senate seat, Andrew Rice. So the big Dems in the state came out for Obama weeks ago, even after he got trounced there. I think Dan Boren is a blue dog recrutted by Rahm Emmanuelle.
OK has got some bigots sure, but it also has some good and solid Dems. Large military bases, many Native Americans and some nice sized college towns. I'm not saying Obama BlackEagle can win in OK, but he might be able to put it into play enough to worry McCain and to make the Reps spend some money there. And that would make me happy.

It's no doubt a tough, conservative state for any Democrat, but Boren just sounds completely nutless to me.
