Supreme Court Ruling Today Rebukes Bush Administration on Guantanamo Detainees, Allows Civilian Appeals
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today that the Constitution affords basic legal protections, including the right of appeal in civilian courts, even to detainees held at Guantanamo Bay.
This is a HUGE victory for civil rights, the rule of law and the durability of the Constitution. It is also a HUGE rebuke to the Bush Administration's secretive system of military tribunals.
God bless the Constitution!

Yo!!! Bush is still in the White House, people! And he's still needing reprimands, dammit!

Sorry, Lis. I've been out most of the day. My wife failed to return home again today, after being back a little over two weeks. Guess she can't do without the strange. I am in hell again but holding up.
