So I went to HillaryClinton.com and left this Message for her.

You should concede the race, Senator. You lost. In case you didn't notice, and since you didn't mention it in your speech i can only assume you didn't, the Democratic Party just made history tonight by nominating Barack OBama for President. He's the first african-american to be nominated in the western world, it would have been a little nice of you to mention that.

For someone who demands respect, you should learn to show a little.

Tonight is a very important night for a lot of people. And you just disrespected them all by slighting our nominee.

feel free to leave her your own message.

she did ask for our advice, after all.

just be warned, that after you submit your message, you'll be redirected to -guess where - the contribute page.

This whole "visit my site" thing is about getting contributions to offset her debt. Don't fall for it.

Do you think after all this, she's actually listening NOW?

no but it made me feel better.

My god you people are bitter winners. Your focus on negativity tonite is telling about yourselves and your shallow understanding of this race. Thank god Obama does not share your small hatecircles. Listen to him. Learn to act like him.

You know what I think it is, Hollywood? I think people got their hopes up. I guess we really thought that she was just a rough and tumble campaigner. But in the end, we thought she would would be the gracious person that we have known her to be (before all this crap started) and stand with the democrats - whoever the nominee would be.
She keeps dissapointing us...again...and again...and again.

Oh my god. Just keep watching dude.... it's just a few hours old. She is one of the biggest assets Obama has and he knows it. His supporters are a little slow on the uptake, the MSM is still trying to whip up some blood, but Obama and Hillary are natural allies and they will get on with it soon enough. It is awhile before November people. Obama will win. Relax. Breath. Put your hate in a glass next to the bed and get a good nite's sleep.

I put my response here: Following the Rules

This is probably the reason Bill Clinton was elected twice despite huge issues. Ditto on baby bush for the other side of the aisle. No holding anyone accountable for anything.

Somehow, it's all about our "hate" and not about Hillary's obviously tone-deaf responses to the other half her party. The half who is slightly bigger than her half.

The half who, along with independents and moderate republicans, will put Barack Obama in the White House.

Just wish we could get some love from the "grown ups" in the party.

Bush & Clinton, two peas in a pod.

Whatever, Ralph.

Didn't expect you to understand a complex argument. I also didn't expect you to understand anything even remotely critical of a Clinton. Yes, the DLC and the RNC represent two halves of the same, filthy coin. They made it status quo to screw the many in deference to the few. As much as you like Bubba, his presidential record is indicted by today's true progressives.

Didn't expect you to understand a complex argument.

I understand a complex political argument, but you didn't make one, Ralph.

OK. I didn't expect you to get a simple argument when it involves context and reality-based cognition.

Ralph, if you're going to run for President, the least you could do is vote for yourself.

avatar

"It's just a few hours old."
Okay, how long does she get before she's officially an asshole trying to undermine the party's nominee?
Her speeh was disturbing not so much because she didn't concede, but because she started spouting the same self-serving bullshit: I won the popular vote, I won the swing states--the same lies and vacuous non-arguments that marked her "appeal" to superdelegates.

She is not an asset at all. She screwed up her own "inevitable" campaign, and would screw up this one as well. She's a terrible politician. With her on the ticket, McCain would have all the ammo he needed. Where's that library donors list?

I do think she will come around and help Obama. I do think she means well and is not an evil person. I don't even hate her. I just think she is having trouble adjusting to reality and as a result she is embarassing herself. I was at a party with about 300 Obama supporters last night and only heard a few truly hateful comments. Mostly what I heard during her speach was confusion. Our reality and her reality just weren't matching up.

Left a message for Hilary Clinton.com. Remember she asked us to. Maybe we should show her the exit. She has 35 years of worthless experience, does not know how to be gracious. She may want the No 2 spot, but after what happened last night, I don't know if she deserves it. She has go get up and go home. Even her supporters are just fed up with her speech last night.

lraman

Eh, I wouldn't run up her site's traffic numbers. Just another metric she can wave around.

Not only that but each entry (I believe) begins with a pre-entered beginning... "I am with you Hillary and here is why...(your entry)". It really is an evil genius thing they got going on over there. :) They can say "we've had millions of hits with people saying 'we're with ya' ". Brilliant and diabolical. How ever did those people blow an enevitable nominee position as late as January 1st of the election year? Amazing. Thank you God.

avatar

To be fair: I think all campaign websites are set up to redirect visitors to the donate page... it's SOP.

Since she's my Senator, I'm going contact her through her Senate message webform to let her know that she has been and still is a valued public servant, and she should continue to be an effective representative for our state and for the issues that are so important to her. We will still need strong voices like hers in the Senate to advocate for the Democratic agenda.

As for the 18 million people who voted for her, I think the vast majority have already accepted - though grudgingly, perhaps - that we have a Democratic candidate and we need to focus on winning in November. I seriously doubt that more than a few hundred thousand will actually stay home or vote for McCain. And at the risk of sounding rude, to them I say, "Sayonara, baby."

America can't wait around for them; time is too short; there's too much at stake and too much work to do.

The ongoing 50-state voter registration drive will replace them with forward-thinking new voters who are ready to participate in a resurgent grassroots/Main Street politics.

Obama's campaign will continue to promote fresh ideas and attract new energy into the party by recruiting volunteers into the Obama Fellows program, a 50-state leadership development initiative that is training local volunteers to be community organizers who will lead information & advocacy campaigns to facilitate grassroots support for future legislation on universal health care, affordable education, the global climate crisis, sustainable energy policy and jobs for a green economy.

Obama's vision doesn't just stop at changing the guard at the White House or passing populist measures like one-time tax rebates; he wants to change the American political system, starting in the communities where Americans live.

Hopefully Hillary will become part of the solution, and not part of the problem.

avatar

Well, I went to Hillary's site last night and encouraged her to run as an Independent. So, she doesn't win the Democratic nomination. She can run Independent and take her 18+ million voters with her.

I get tired of hearing phrases like "party unity" and "get behind Obama". I did not vote for Obama because I do not like him or have confidence in him. Same for the 18+ million of us who want Hillary.

Last night was an important night for Obama supporters. Well, it was also important to Hillary supporters and a growing number of us want her to run Independent. Unlike Ralph Nader she actually has a substantial following. Her being on the ticket in November would encourage people (especially women and African-Americans) to show up to the polls in record numbers. John McCain would have no chance because very few Democrats would be coming to his corner.

So, I encouraged Hillary to do this and I'm encouraging her supporters to do the same.

She may have garnered 18 million votes but not all of them (given the chance) would still vote for her. I know several of them in fact. Many in California and New Jersey. The polls back up my own personal findings. Not saying that her crowd who is sore is not large, it just cannot be said that it's all 18 million of them. That's all.

she's in debt. I'm surprised you didn't have to leave a tip before being able to leave a note.

I did the same thing. I told her I wanted her to concede, endorse Senator Obama, and to work for the Democratic Party. I wish I could send the message by owl, and send thousands, as Harry Potter received at the Dursleys. Eventually she might read it and get the message...

If you do choose to leave a message, please use the contact page.

As you'll notice, the form you're presented with on the main page is not for submitting comments. It's a petition she's asking you to sign. Comments are optional and will likely be ignored. She's just looking for an outpouring of support to show to the superdelegates. She's still hoping to turn this thing around.

Good catch by the rabbit-cat: USE THE CONTACT PAGE, NOT THE HOMEPAGE SUPPORT PETITION.

Well said.

avatar

Great post! Recommended. Everyone needs to post rational feedback on this to be sure she gets the message (she probably still won't, but it's the best shot we have).

Here is what I wrote to hillaryclinton.com:
You are a strong and powerful woman. You've run an extremely tough campaign. It's time now to unite our party. We must beat John McCain in November and we need you in that battle. Please set the example of an honorable warrior and show us that you care about each of us. Our party has chosen Sen. Obama and we want to fight against John McCain, not one another. Thank you for your inspiration to so many women. Mary

I forgot to say
P.S. Why would I want to contribute now?

avatar

Mary that message is terrific.

Freaktown there's no point sending angry messages from Obama supporters.

What's needed is messages that seem less partisan but basically prounity.

Don't you think?

They'll completely ignore anything that sounds Obamabot.

Thanks Fran. Today is a wonderful, historic day and we have won. There's no point harboring ill will or being in-your-face. I think as many of us as possible should send her the message that we want unity now. To counter the bitter messages urging her towards divisiveness. I assume she is getting some of those too.

avatar

I've just been to the site and seen the facility for sending the message. It starts off with an obligatory `I'm with you Hillary and I'm proud of everything we're fighting for.`

I think it's a mistake for any Obama supporter to try and send any negative message. The message won't count - all they'll do is proudly spout off the number of messages they received which all started off with their dictated intro.

Damn it!

and i fell for it.

oh well.

i feel better anyway.

avatar

They could try to misuse it, but I think its better than only having crazies respond.

BTW on closer inspection of the message you sent, freaktown, you probably could have been a little more courteous. Oh well, it was still good.

obama won. why do i have to go out of my way not to offend someone who clearly is intent on being a sore loser?

I mean, hillary isn't even taking barack's phone calls.

She's not being courteous. I for one, have given her breathing room and have laid off her for the last couple of weeks because I became to see her more as a nuisance than a threat.

But her antics are putting the general election at risk now, and we can't allow that. The GAME IS OVER. Theres no reason at all for her to stay on the playing field.

avatar

I hear you. You were honest, direct, and didn't cuss them out (which is so difficult given the circumstances). I just had the urge to butter mine up a bit when I sent it. There was no need for me to call you out there. My bad.

and how many times have her and her campaign said it would end when we have a nominee?

WE HAVE A NOMINEE!!

and shes not ending it.

why am i not surprised?

avatar

I agree and used the 'contact us' email. I've never been one for short:

You asked people to let you know what we want you to do. I am using this because I have been an Obama voter and delegate. I am a 55 year old white woman with 2 BS degrees, an RN (critical care and home care) for 31 years who was raised by fervent Civil Rights activists.

I respect your work and that this contest has had a photo finish. My background, concerns and suggestions:

As an adolescent in the late 60's I realized this point in history would come, in my life time. That the transformational changes we would need to make in many areas, world wide, would present an unprecedented challenge to mankind. That if we do not rise to them, humanity and the earth will suffer horrible tragedies, taking centuries if not millenia to recover.

I grew up in Evanston, IL. My oldest sister won a 'Bike for Ike' contest in '56. My father, a PhD in physical chemistry, built a sign for the station wagon in '64: Au H20. In '72 I cast my first vote for Nixon. I learned. Then I read Ayn Rand. I went Libertarian for 8 years. Then I tried to change my registration to GOP and was denied my rights by a Baptist minister who was my precinct chair. I became a Dukakis Democrat the next night.

The other degree is in Sociology. I have had a lot of reasons to use the statistics from college and build on that knowledge. I have used statistics to succesfully support arguments and change policies. The statistics I am watching on this campaign are broad based, thorough and have solidly reinforced my intuition that Obama can win quite well in November.

I have no interest in electing someone who has little chance of making the changes we need. I'm too much of a realist and pragmatist. Which is why Obama is my choice. Johnson was only able to sign the Civil Rights legislation because of King's grass roots movement. Obama has coalesced that movement, to go beyond taking back the WH. To restoring the Republic with government by the people, for the people and of the people.

I do not believe you have shown the kind of vision and leadership we need. In the '94 Health care reform, in a foreign policy of violence or the threat of violence, in the passive support of morally and fiscally bankrupt economic policies.

Let Barack choose his VP and Cabinet. I think that having a ticket with a minority, a woman (we may not have power, we are actually a majority) and a Clinton; will increase the GOP voters to come out to vote AGAINST it.

This is not the time to risk any more votes than we have to for the Novemeber mandate we need.

I am very disturbed at your political tactics, from John Kerry's distorted joke to claiming that John McCain was better qualified than Obama to serve as CIC. We have repeatedly pointed out that the GOP unethically fail to condemn people who are spewing hatred, lies and misinformation on behalf of their candidates. I do not think the number of your supporters who make vile statements or plan to vote for McCain are that significant in numbers. They are distributing free fuel for the GOP to transfer all over the Internet.

Larry Johnson has gone too far into these tactics to ignore or even mildly rebuke and rebut his destructive and deceptive effirts to discredit Obama. I was familiar with No Quarter and Larry for some years and had respected him. I think you can address bloggers like Taylor Marsh and Jerilynn Merritt less harshly.

I would be happy to see you continue as a very good contributor to government. If you prefer to move beyond the Senate, a cabinet position would be better than VP. There is one I have not heard mentioned and it may not appeal to you. It carries a tremendous opportunity to bring about some real reform that will be essential to the direction America needs to go. Most importantly, I think it takes the kind of leadership and other skills you have.

Secretary of Defense.

I thank you for the efforts you have made on behalf of America and hope that you will continue to put the essence of this country as your goal.

Awesome letter, Ginny. Here's to hoping she reads it! Not betting the farm on that one.

Senator Clinton, when I have daughters I hope to be able to point to your campaign as groundbreaking. But it is essential to my children that we elect a Democrat, and that is why I am asking you to endorse Senator Obama and use your ample skills to help him get elected. You have a marvelous future bringing health care to this country--please let that be your legacy, not helping to elect John McCain.

And yes, Fran is right. It is a mistake--she wants to be able to see one jillion people wrote her and begged her to stay in the race, even though she has already lost. But a gal can dream.

And yes, she showed no respect for Obama. It was incredibly tacky.

yeah. i mean i hate to phrase this way, but a black guy was just nominated for president of the united states, it's kind of a big deal.

The very least she could have done was mention it.

Call me gullible but I think the messages may be read by staff and tallied as a fight or unity type message. Bottom line I think it's to drum up contributions but nevertheless I don't think it was a waste of time. I wonder how many of Hillary's "bitter girls" are actually sending money. I bet it's very few.

avatar

I know know you don't think that Clinton deserves much of any respect, but could you at least have used a modicum of self respect and proof read the think for typos (capitalization)? You're making us look bad.

because i'm sure hillary's blue collar, low-education base has perfect typing and no spelling or grammatical errors.

avatar

I think its almost better to pretend to be Clinton supporters, and tell her that we're tired, no more, please lets beat the Republicans, etc.

This woman should not be allowed to come close to the VP spot. She should not even be allowed to serve in the cabinet as this would not be a Team of Rivals (Lincoln), but more like Jurassic park with Hillary and Bill the dinosours chasing Obam and Michelle all over the white house hoping to devour their flesh. After her speach and her stupid request for people to tell her what to do she has once again showed why she is a devisive, power drunk and hungary egomaniac. I have never heard of anything so career killing as what she did tonight. If she wanted to be offered the VP, she just guaranteed that she would not get that offer. Obama does nor respond well to threats and pressure like she does and will not make a decision because of her hold out of an endorsement. He apposed the war, that was not a popular thing to do, she voted for the war because it was a popular thing to do.

Jurassic park with Hillary and Bill the dinosours chasing Obam and Michelle all over the white house hoping to devour their flesh

Does that make Barack & Michelle the

  • greedy self-serving park owner

  • self-righteous, lecturing mathematician
  • tiresome children who need adult supervision

  • obtuse geneticist

  • preachy paleontologists

  • double-dealing computer programmer

  • unethical lawyer, or

  • the engineer or game warden, who end-up as Velociraptor bait

Her asking for our thoughts on what she should do--it is the opposite of leadership. She is not being a leader tonight.

avatar

Kos seems pretty certain it's about the money. Sounds like a possibility since she is still "owed" so much money by her campaign.

avatar

Poor baby! Didn't get our total victowy tonight??? Awwwwwwww......... Fewing diswespected? Awwwwww..... That big bad Hiwwary!! Well, she'll be sowwy when she reads your letter!

avatar

Grow up, douche.

Hey Ding-Dong, the wicked witch is dead!

don't worry about the GE. Its in the bag for O. We don't need your vote.

shove off, this is our site now... go blog on Redway.

Take a reality break - it's not your site.

I submitted a note as well, asking that she unify the party and join the fight behind Obama. I think it's worth doing.

I support Obama's statement that, from a position of strength, America should talk with enemies. Therefore, I should take the same approach in this case and reach out my hand and state my views. Not obnoxiously or insultingly but bluntly and clearly.

avatar

Message to Obama and his supporters: you're half, we're half and you're going to fucking deal with us.

The 'unity' of the party is in Obama's hands.

Over and out.

avatar

Attention to this particular Hillary supporter:

Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee. There is no prize for second place in an election. It is wrong to divide the party and threaten handing the election to McCain if you don't get your way. Obama and Hillary are very similar on the issues, so there is every reason that Hillary supporters can get behind him regardless of who Obama picks to be with him on the ticket. I assume that's what you mean when you say "deal with us".

Actually no. You're not half. Because a lot of those 18 million votes are fine with Obama winning. A significant portion of those 18 million would change their votes if they could.

Most of those who have voted for Clinton are going to throw their support to Obama because he is the nominee. Most of those 18 million are Democrats before they are Clintonites.

It is time for Clinton and her supporters to be gracious and act for the good of the party.

Dammit. I was trying to comment and I think it might have posted incomplete.

In any case, I feel like Hillary is George Bush in a suit (only smarter).

She never apologizes.

She repeats the same misleading point over and over and over again until other people start believing and repeating it.

She changes her message whenever it suits her and then pretends that she has never contradicted herself.

She never admits any kind of weakness.

I don't think she'll ever admit she lost. I don't think she's capable of that kind of reality-based thinking.

She's spun herself right out of the real world.

avatar

don't worry about the GE. Its in the bag for O. We don't need your vote.

That's the ticket!! Send that off to Obama's campaign to use in his stump speeches.

That's right IndieX.

Don't need your vote either. Vote for McCain with the rest of your sore-ass loser posters.

Lets see, that means McCain will lose with two more votes from his loyal Demahopper sorry assed whiners.

You are one of "18 million" snug assplugs that keeps Hillary winking and smiling while she flogs herself.

So Centerpunch, you think we can't win without the vast majority of those 18 million voters? You think it helps Obama in any way to call all those people assplugs? Your comments are foolish, arrogant and divisive. We won, there's no reason to be bitter.

It's frustrating that we we haven't gotten the expected props from Hillary yet but there's no sense in dwelling on this. Putting the party back together starts today and it starts with us. We're the winners, they are the ones with bruised feelings. Give 'em some space.

I can't believe there was a push for civility with these koo-koo Hillary assplugs.

She won't get the VP slot. She's not done flogging herself yet either. She'll make "Ottof" proud, I'm sure.

Do you flog yourself, too, Ottof? Does your mommy have to hide the sharp objects from you?

You and your ilk are curious people in a clinical sort of way, very curious.

I intended to send a more conciliator message but, the more I saw of her speech, and heard about her trying to strong-arm her way into the veep spot, the angrier I got. So, here's what I wrote:

===============================
Like a child who doesn't know how to play fair, you cling to your obsession long after all your chances have evaporated. You remind me of the ex-boyfriend who called 30 times in one night after I broke it off, just calling and hanging up, calling and hanging up. What was he trying to accomplish? Beats me. I could say the same about you (and I suppose, I just did).

There is no "close" in elections. You either win or lose. You lost.

For the good of your party, the country, and the planet. concede.

APPLAUSE!!!!!!!

He's the first african-american to be nominated in the western world

If you define African-American as a citizen of the United States with African ancestry, then this is correct.

If you define African-American as someone from the Americas with African ancestry, then you're way off.

Ottof Just for reference 99.9% of Clinton supporters I talk to are nowhere near as virulent as you and are not using there vote as a way to get there shoes licked by Obama supporters.

People like you, the ones who post nasty comments and expect special treatment in order to vote democratic this fall are probably about .01% of the electorate.

You do not represent Clntons entire base. You complain about how vile Obama supporters are while spitting acid in every post you leave.

I respect the passion you feel for senator Clinton owever I will not bow to your extortion. Vote your morals, if they say Mcain, vote Mcain. You shouting from the roof tops how you will vote if we don't say what you want us to only proves how much you want to make us feel bad.

P.S. I know why you are angry, I have seen all the posts continuing to blast Clinton even though she has officially lost. This would make me angry too. I understand that and from one Obama supporter to one Clinton supporter I wish people would lay off, not for Clntons sake but for her supporters.

However my point stands, I will censor my negativity out of respect for supporters who fought hard for there candidate. However I will not kiss up to anyone for there vote. Clinton and Obama are going to have to unify this party.

I put most of the responsibility on Clinton, because if roles were exchanged Obama would be doing everything possible to bring us over, and more importantly Obama would be the only one who COULD convince his supporters. Right now I believe that only Clinton can heal her supporters wounds, nothing we can say will help.

avatar

I wanna like Hillary and Bill again I really do. It would be nice if she would at least acknowledge Obama and that he is better than McCain.

Anyone who saw the three speeches tonight, McCains Hillarys and Obamas can't help but think Hillary is crazy, and wants money, McCain is tired, and Obama has communication skills that make Reagan look like Hillary Clinton.

What's the point? She won't read it and they'll just count you as one of those who sent a message telling her to stay in the race.

For Hillary, there is bad news and good news:

"Close, but no cigar"

couldn't resist the line and this is the only place I can get away with it

Is that what Monica told the "boyfriend" after Bill?

I, too, could apparently not resist.

avatar

I sent Clinton a message, suggesting that she go perform an anotomical impossibility.

When you go, it's a sign-up to "be part of 18 million" who believe "I'm with you Hillary, and am proud of everything we ARE fighting for."

I don't care how much I want to tell her off. I'm not signing THAT.

I'd like to remind people NOT to use the form. It's a petition, and it will achieve precisely the opposite result you're hoping for. Here's the correct link for feedback:

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/help/contact/

avatar

why bother to leave any feedback. she lost, she knows she lost, and this game of "it's not over until I say it's over" will only last until this weekend, when the party elders start twisting the arms of the superdelegates and force the to acknowledge Obama.

as much as you may dislike her (and join the very large club of americans who actively dislike the clintons) publicly sending a message to her like this is like kicking sand in the face of someone you've already beaten. why bother? just win graciously, and leave the ugliness to her cult members.

avatar

I left a comment too, similar to this one, but it was full of four-letter words and other nastiness. I couldn't help myself after last night. Just waiting until the SS shows up at my door.

I wrote her, and let her know my opinion.

avatar

I left one too, but don't be obscene and horrible. Won't move the needle at all.

And why does she have to directly self-promote? If she really wants the VP, then she in public should be gracious and nonconfrontational, while the surrogates argue for her as VP. By directing putting it out there, she puts Obama in a very tough spot.

I've not wanted to accept the Machievellian argument that the Clintons want Obama to lose so they can keep going later. But this behavior by her makes me wonder. It would be a huge miscalculation--if she is seen as responsible for Obama losing, her political future is over, but people make misjudgements and mistakes all of the time.

This is the message I left at Hillaryclinton.com

--------------------------

Concede. You are making an ass out of yourself. Concede quickly. And after the way you've acted during this campaign -- which is deplorably-- you have no business begging for a VP spot. If you ran any office as shoddily as you've run your campaign, this country would be in mighty big trouble. I'm from New York, so I know precisely how ineffectual a politician you are.

Concede and stop acting like an ass.

And hell no, you won't get any contributions from me.

The Clintons, and it is always the Clintons plural, have never hesitated to stick a knife in the back of anyone who thwarted them in their venal, vicious drive for power and wealth. Why would Obama want them anywhere near his administration? And why do we want them anywhere near the Democratic Party? It's going to be hard enough to rebuild it without their treachery and deceit hampering us.

As far as the Hillary dead-enders, please, go vote for Mcnasty, hell join the Repugs where you clearly want to be and quit trying to turn the party of the people into a pale imitation of the party of corporate power.

I wrote her too. Here's my letter. (Though I am sure that since she only asked her SUPPORTERS to go and tell her what to do, she will say my opinion does not count.

Dear Senator Clinton:

Last night, you asked people to go to HillaryClinton.com and write to you to "tell you what to do."

My honest and heartfelt feeling is that it is long past time for you to exit this race, but more importantly, to show that you can put your party ahead of yourself.

Your campaign's repeated claims of victimization and increasingly polarizing appeals to identity politics have disturbed me. I would expect these tactics in an inter-party contest, but not in an intra-party one, where your opponent's candidacy was at least as historic as your own, and yet he did not appeal to the baser kinds of hot-button topics that tend to set people off.

I am very concerned that at this point, rather than showing any signs of concern for party unity and winning the White House, you are attempting to drive the wedges you introduced even more deeply. How tragic would that be, in this historic year, if you were to set back race and gender relations in our already troubled country?

Please bear in mind that many people, including many many women, chose to vote for Sen. Obama. You may think that we are all deluded kool-aid drinkers, but I assure you that many of us are quite rational and nevertheless, very passionate about his candidacy.

Finally, let me tell you that at the start of this season, I was so pleased that our party could boast TWO extraordinary candidates: Barack and yourself. I truly wish that your campaign could have returned in-kind the respect that Barack showed to you throughout this season. His graciousness is part of what is appealing about him and is also a very legitimate criterion for many citizens' definition of leadership.

Reasonable minds can differ over what sort of "fighter" we need in the White House at this point in time. You appear to think you are the only fighter in the race. But just as passionately as you and your supporters think that, 18 million of us beg to differ. In short, reasonable minds can and do differ about what kind of fighter we want in the White House at this point in time.

Please do the right thing and stop campaigning and start helping our party win the White House in November!

Best regards from an Asian American woman who does not ascribe to identity politics

Freaktown, Thank you for saving me from posting another ranting post topic that will be ignored or piss everyone off because You said this:

"For someone who demands respect, you should learn to show a little"

She gets away with so much, and the fact that all of the republicans with the exception of Natalie that was on Abrams after hours last night are pulling for her and she is eating that up is enough to make me ill'.

Come on sean, holy smokes. He won for cryin out loud. Why are you still mad?

I think its my hat and get up that makes me look so mad. I see several people coment on things say things identical to what I say, yet know one calls them mad. Im way past mad. ill, I want to be sick. They announce her as the next President. They dont show any of the respect that they demand. Obama is or promotes himself as a better man than I can hope to be. Im just saying, Im tired of her disrespecting him and getting away with it. His speech last night was about praising her, the least she could do is acknowledge that he won and not that he ran a great campaign. But hey Obamawon, I understand that he has a double standard. Put it like this, he said lay off his wife because he can take it. Im just an outsider looking in, and I feel like he has to walk on eggshells and HRC exploits that. Dont ask me not to have a take on what I see.

Lastly, contrary to what you say and the tactic of summing people up as mad happy sad or glad, there is substance. When you do that you kinda remind me of Tucker Carlson....

Peace Lville1975

Its all good. Sporting the new name....and of course the new Avatar. Thought I should go proper. Greatest Athlete of all time and the most important American in the last 70 years.....I just would like to think as Democrats we'd take Ali's view of winning and losing. No matter what side he of it he was on he was the still the same person and was always up for the next fight, round, punch.....whatever it was. He is one of the main inspirations of my life. I take his lessons with me everyday.

I would have never guessed Ali was one of your heros......See, thats why people shouldnt assume.
Not sure of your analogy though....but

Peace...

Dammit...heroes....(sigh)

I had to look that up just yesterday, because it didn't look right with the "e". Turns out you can go with "heros" if you're talking about sandwiches.
