See the response video from Noriega to Big Bad John
Be one of the first to see the response. I just got it from Noriega's campaign manager. It's quite clever.
Click here to go see the video.
After you watch the video, click here to donate to Better Senators for Veterans and help us reach our goal tonight. We are only $140 away from that goal.
This video does make issue of the veterans issue but also talks about how Noriega will be better for the energy crisis, gas prices and generally more effective. (Cornyn is the 81st most effective Senator)

OOOOOOooooooo
That branding is gonna leave a mark.
Rick Noreiga won at Barbara Boxer's PAC for a change which was conducted last week in which the candidate supported by the largest community vote on the site receives funds and progressive activism support though the committee.
He's doing very very well.

He's going to have to do really, REALLY well to get elected Senator, in Texas, as a Democrat. But I surely do hope he does it, and will be putting a Noriega sticker on my car....

From the Burnt Orange Report:
Noreiga is down only two from Cornyn.
38/36% Cornyn.

And this doesn't help:

The political action committee of the Texas Medical Association, furious about a Thursday night vote on a Medicare-funding bill, is going to rescind its endorsement of Sen. John Cornyn’s reelection bid, association spokesman Brent Annear said.
Cornyn and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison voted to stall a bill that would have prevented a 10 percent cut in Medicare funding for physicians, prompting an unusually harsh reaction from the medical association, which has 43,000 members and is one of the most powerful trade groups in Texas politics.

Or at least, that's what could happen with the popular vote when you organize and push up the vote in Red and Blue states, even if it doesn't change the electoral match. It gives you a mandate.

"The pessimists may be right in the end -but the optimist has a better time getting there !"
Samuel Clemons ,,
My wife & me sent Noreiga one hundred bucks early on - its been a good investment . The Lone Star State is in play this election cycle . The GOP down here is dispirited and fractured - the Ron Paulistas are being very disruptive of the usual suspects ie Gov Perry ..
More importantly the Democrats are very engaged and active here. And most importantly many moderate GOP voters , and independents are responding to the Obama national message for change.
A quick "snap poll" -(I have my own one van charter transportation service here) - during the primary I was taking one prinicipal /five high school teachers to the airport - all from Midland Odessa school district . I asked one leading question regarding 'No Child Left Behind" -and I got an earful back ..Turns out all six had voted for Obama in our primary .,, all six had been registered Republicans - I have since carried the Principal again & and she says she and her teachers have all sent money to down ticket Democrats here in Texas .
We have every reason to be optimistic here in Texas -
Axelrod is to be commended - unlike Shrum in 2004 - this cycle our side has not " bought a kife to a gun fight" - this cycle in 2008 our side has " bought a .50 cal auto load to a gun fight ! " Its the Chairman Dean's fifty state strategy being well funded & Brillaintly IMPLEMENTED ..
Repeating .. we have every reason to be optimistic in Texas ...

Great responses about the teachers. I think that we are going to see a lot of change. I'm wondering why the Texas numbers are all over the place though.
