Puerto Rico Turnout
It is looking like the PR turnout will not top 400,000 by much, if at all. Far short of the 2 million voters the Clinton camp was hoping for. Which won't do much for the Clinton popular vote argument.

The networks are projecting 15% turnout.
We always knew that the 60-80% turnout hopes were inane - but this is particularly pathetic.

The smoke and mirrors that the Clinton marketing team built lasted longer than I thought it would, but the debt, the rhetoric, and the reality of math have all been becoming pretty transparent now.

Well why don't you petition RBC so they can take all her delegates and give them to Obama?
I'm sure they would take the low turnout excuse just as passionately as they looked for ways to gift unearned MI delegates to him yesterday.

I think they should just carve out extra delegates and give them to Obama. If it can be done in Michigan why not other states.Hey, the polls are different now in California lets just give him some out of there.

We've moved into the realm of madness here, Chris. Really. I think someone has to point out how we've slid down the slippery slope with Hillary, still acting as we are, as if the whole thing is somehow just a bit extreme but reasonable.

I think most folks realized that Senator Clinton's Chances were slim to none a couple of months ago. She has had every right to continue her campaign through the last primary and I'm not one of those who believes doom and gloom awaits the democratic party because of it.
As I've commented before, I think that in historical terms the primary has been fairly tame, and I expect Obama to be our next president.
It should all be over on Wednesday, when it seems the supers will weigh in.
By the way, you might find this Vanity Fair article about Bill Clinton interesting, if you haven't already seen it. Clinton's not too happy about it.

I just want to let everybody know, for historical reference, that June 1 was the day an explosion at a coal mine killed 236 in Fukuoka, Japan.
I just automatically think of June 1 as Fukuoka, Japan Coal Mine Disaster Day, in case that ever pops up in conversation and it seems inexplicable or inappropriate to you.
That's just how I remember it's June 1.
So don't freak out or make a big deal out of it if I bring it up.
