Open letter to "michelle bociurkiw"
Dear "michelle",
You seem to have a knack for hijacking the comment threads by cut and pasting the same anti-Obama tirade, regardless of the original post's theme. I'm not a big fan of this style, though it is certainly your right, and it is no fault of others if they take you to be sincere and try to actually engage you. It seems fairly clear, however, that your comments serve the sole purpose of sowing resentment and hostility. At first I thought it best to ignore your persistent rancor, but, as is the nature of resentment, your comments are fairly successful at yielding a spiral of spite.
I realize my attempt to engage you runs the risk of perpetuating this spiral or, at the very least, of pettiness. But how one engages in political discourse, even if buried in blog comment threads, has become indissociable from the content and kind of politics one hopes to see achieved. And calling into question divisive political manipulation (on all sides) is part of what this particular election is all about.
So let's cut through the crap. Either you are an ardent Clinton supporter or a McCain troll. If the former, please be so kind as to articulate how backing McCain or any other candidate is the best way of honoring your support for Clinton or furthering your political objectives as a "life-long democrat"; if the latter, please be so kind as to go away.
Sincerely,
Chris

Chris, you read my mind!! You must be a Jedi knight because I was thinking the same thing about this "Michelle". I am very sure that she is not a Democrat and her sole function is to try and devide us. Remember the RNC is working on this as they see they can make use of our long primary and some hard feelings to drive this wedge between Democrats.

It is truly pathtic to see the unempowered who have no concept of "the force" attempting Jedi mind tricks. Of course, the joke is only on them as they believe their point actually has one.

It may tell us what's going on with "michelle." Or maybe "she" has other motives. But the Limbaugh "operation chaos" factor is worth keeping in mind whenever we see anyone advocating on a blog like this for McCain, against Obama, and using Clinton as an excuse.
Apparently, when Clinton failed to concede last Tuesday, Limbaugh told his viewers that "operation chaos" should continue and that his listeners should go to Clinton's site and urge her on.
Couple of snippets:
"Limbaugh has, according to radio ratings, 22 million listeners a day ... Think about it: 22 million listeners a day... a very large percentage of the feedback [Clinton] no doubt got via her website to stay in the race came from the Limbaugh chaos lobby, as are, frankly, many of the anonymous comments that transitioning Clinton bloggers are receiving now that claim to be from Clinton supporters urging votes for McCain or third party candidates...
"The Field’s analysis of exit poll data from March 4 (after the GOP nomination was settled and Republicans felt free to prank the Democratic primaries) to June 3, shows that 15 percent of Clinton’s vote during that period came from pro-McCain voters pranking the system, mostly at the urging of Limbaugh."

Research shows there are anti-Clinton postings in the 'michelles' recent history too. Some posts describe 'her' as 46, black woman. Others say 'she's' in her 30's - and the list goes on. Posts on blogs besides TPM. (Fox for one and others.) But as pointed out previously, the spelling, punctuation and grammar varies. Interesting that some posts appear to be very childish in presentation and others more strident in tone. Not one appears to be capable of forming a thoughtful, intelligent and/or reasonable post. Must be a pre-requisite when applying for 'job'.

"Michelle" morphed into a black woman with incredibly poor english language skills, on the "AA- Reaction to Hillary" thread
I don't mean typos - I am a truly awful typist and my posts if done in haste show this.
I am speaking of demonstrably and obviously fake poor English such as typing the word 'seen' as 'scene' and other obvious errors.
new 'back' "Michelle" may also have morphed - saw a new poster named "Mandy" - her one and only post was an anti-Clinton screed that was short yet breathtakingly discgusting.
THere is no reason for us to allow that crap to foment extreme hatred within the Democratic community.
Let's instead hijack THEIR comments by writing only to EACH OTHER about these poster's idiocy:):):)n poor souls, unable to get folks to reply to them or address them - speaking in third person around them. ...

well i think larry says it all. which obama troll type are you chris penfield?
Well, they’ve done it again.
Obama bloggers–paid or unpaid–have turned yet another democratic blog, the great MyDD, into an “obamablog”, where any statement critical of Obama is met with faux outrage, dismissal, and ridicule. The Obama people have smeared all democrats who do not fall in line with them. HRC supporters have been banned, warned, had their work edited, and “gang-troll rated” into oblivion.
MyDD has gone the way of daily kos.
The purpose of this diary is to respond to an earlier reccommended diary on the “signs of republican or McCain trolls”–or ways to spot what the author called “democrats supporting McCain.” The diary disturbed me as it seemed the penultimate way to trash every HRC supporter who said anything critical of Obama…in other words, “criticize Obama = republican troll”. The diary received many comments, and led subsequently to various commenters awarding “McCain points” to several HRC diarists in other posts, or to employ the “dismiss the argument” tactic by saying “is this snark?”
I don’t want the site’s obama people to forget that their behavior is transparent and how it is easy to see how they have approached and managed to take over so many blogs, and done so by maligning another democrat and half the democratic party that supports her.
There are essentially 5 characteristics of the Obama bloggers’ approach to eliminating HRC supporters, or dialogue about Obama on these sites. I give full credit to LavenderLiberal.com for the analysis, and add a few other things I’ve seen.
Basically it is a style of attack that is intended to eliminate and marginalize. It is not FOR Obama, it is AGAINST Clinton. In this manner, no issue about Obama is ever really discussed, even if it could effect the entire democratic party in November, even if that issue is raised for the purpose of dealing with it before it becomes an issue.
Here they are. Do your comments fit in here anywhere? Alternatively, have you been subject to any of these tactics yourself?
Attack/Gloat mode. ”Hillary is evil. Clintonistas are racist, uneducated old, irrelevant, paleofeminists, white-trash republican trolls (see the referenced diary above for spotting these mccain trolls).”
Threat Mode. ”If McCain wins, say good bye to roe v wade; say hello to the 100 year war, say goodbye to life on earth as we know it, and its all your fault”! And if Obama loses its because HRC continued her campaign through June 3rd!
Tantrum Mode. “Fine, go ahead and vote McCain, then! We don’t need you anyway! We’ve replaced you with millions of new voters! You were never a real democrat. The party is better off without you!”
Stark reality mode. Among themselves: “Oh shit…maybe we do need the Clintonistas in November!” To HRC supporters: “come on, we’re all democrats, we need to pull together, can’t we just get along?”
Over-confidence Mode. ”I’m not worried. HRC supporters will come around and vote Obama in Nov. After all, where else can they go? So let’s keep having fun beating them up!”
So, Obama people, spot yourselves as well as spotting the so-called “republican trolls”.
It’s been an interesting time here, but I am off to work for America. There is no convincing or reporting here, nor any real discussion.
As for me, I believe it is very important for the democrats to know who they’ve chosen if they go with Obama sometime next week as the “presumptive nominee”. Between now and August, my efforts on line, in the field of public discourse, and at the convention will be aimed at making sure the dems know who they’re getting in Obama. I am a proud life-long democrat and will still vote for the person I believe is the most qualified for POTUS in November

If McCain wins, you CAN say goodbye to women's reproductive rights. It's not a threat, you hopelessly brainwashed twit. It's just a fact.
The only reason you're even considering voting for McCain is because you've been fighting with Democrats for so long. You've fooled yourself into thinking that the enemy of your enemy is your friend. You're the definition of the word chump. You know NOTHING about John McCain and you know NOTHING about Republicans. All you know at this point is your stupid, self-destructive bitterness. You'll get over that. Hopefully, it will be before you sleep with a pig and wake up and realize that you're not a pig-fucker after all.

ohh please give it a rest with the limbaugh "operation chaos" BS. you folks need to accept you are dealing with the anger of thousands in your own party at this moment. if you think we are going to fall in line and support obama then do so at your own peril. i will stay and document whatever i wish. i have been on this site since inception and unless i have done something against posting rules then you can kiss off.
as far as highjacking...well i thought i was doing you folks a favour to see what is really happening internal in the democratic world ;-)instead of your delusions that all hilliary supporters were falling into the unity dance line.

ohh, an i just have to share a post from minty as i think she sums up exactly why I will support mccain in november. good reading.
The issue is bigger than Hillary Clinton. I see similarities between the take over of the republican party by the right wing nuts backed by religious fanatics and what went on with the DNC during this primary season with the left wing nuts competing with religious fanatics.
The good republicans quietly acquiesced for the "good of the party" and now they have run themselves into the ditch. So by voting for Obama are we acquiescing to the take over of the party? We have been accused of not being real democrats...sound similar to the republican litmus test?
As for Obama's views about women? Reverend Meeks, Reverend Wright anyone? I simply don't know his views and he is always willing to throw anything out at a moments notice as long as it advances him. He (or his surrogates) craftily used sexism in this campaign to denigrate women and Hillary Clinton. So I suppose those are his views on women.
I do not appreciate being held hostage to Roe v Wade. How many years ago was that and they still try to hold it over our heads. My comment happens to be "What have you done for me Lately"? It is the women in the party that fight to keep Roe V Wade intact not those bozos that threaten us with it. The DNC leadership has done nothing since Roe V Wade.
How about the Pay Equity Act that has just been sitting there under our esteemed DNC leadership? The RNC doesn't do anything for women either and they don't pretend that they do.

IMHO he is lite on the experience side in my book and i look forward to him cutting down a bit on his ambition and doing the real work that shows me who he really is on issues over the next 8 years. after that, i think he could be well qualified to be elected president.

mr bunny rabbit...mccain will not do anything regarding women reproductive rights. he won't be able to nominate anyone to radical as the veto proof democratic majority in the legislature will not allow it. you people are really a work of art. these scare tactics are quickly being nullified all over the country and will not work much longer.

i also would love to know how many of the posters here are paid obama supporters? we have heard about obama hiring over 400 people to work on the blogs to be nice to hilliary supporters. just wondering if any are here and willing to admit it. probably not but sure thought i would ask.
as to why i will remain here. obamabots think if you take over the blogs you will dominate and present this untrue reality that everything is hunky dorie and united in the dem world. it's not and will not be anytime soon if ever. you do not need to respond to me. i really do not care if you do or not but what i will say if i will not be silenced by people like you. i will post anything within the sites rules i want to. i will share to all visiting what people are saying and doing, feel, how and why we are able to support mccain this election. (as time permits as you know i have a busy work and a personal life.) :-)
as i said above you are welcomed not to answer me. i don't have the time to argue with you folks most days any way but i will get the information i want on the blogs so that anyone visiting here will get to see more than what you paid obama folks are marketing. i have no problem with you not challenging it.. lol
