ONE MORE DAY--- THEN WE CAN TURN TO EXPOSE THE REPUBLICANS
I am an enthusiastic Obama supporter, but there is something inside me that just wants this to end, almost as bad as I want George W Bush's term to end . There is something about inrafamily fighting that makes it worse and more hurtful than fights with " natural " opponents. This fight between two heavy weights with diverse talents has been difficult and emotional. I , a simple citizen have often blogged from emtion, just to get it off my chest--- perhaps some things would have been better unsaid. Oh well-- I guess I am also amazed that at 46 and a little jaded by Politics that I am as excited as I was when I was alot younger.
Most of all I am glad the primaries are almost over, the supers can make their choice and we can move on to defeat the Republicans.

The following is a quote my husband gave to me. He doesn't comment in blog sites but instead asked me to post this quote. He does not know who to attribute it to, but shares it's sentiments. As this post is about the start of the GE and the war in Iraq being waged on nefarious grounds, I thought this was a good place to use this quote.
Beware, this is quite harsh.
There's nothing honorable about war. Butchery and boundaries, that's what war's about. There's nothing good or decent or honorable about it. Nothing to be proud of. Nothing heroic or proper. War is the religion of rich men and politicians. It's their church. What it is, is a disgusting enterprise dedicated to the destruction of the young by a bunch of vindictive, impotent, scabby old men who envy youth. When a war ends, what we ought to do, we ought to turn the bastards on both sides over to all the blind, legless, armless, insane leftovers they created. They ought to be flayed, skinned alive and burned on the steps of the banks where their profits are stored. Then we should bury them together in common lye pits, strike their names from all human records and monuments and obliterate the sons of bitches from history. And that's better than they deserve.
And McBush wants 100 more years to bomb the Middle East into submission. Because as we know we gain so many supporters and win their hearts and minds when we displace them from their homes and jobs, distroy their infrastructure, kill their friends and family members, and instill a corrupt government. Gee wouldn't you support an invading and occupying force if it happened here?
