Olbermann "threatening to quit" if not given Russert's spot
This makes me sick to my stomach.
As the New York Post's Page Six section put it today, "Tim Russert's body wasn't even cold in the ground" when Keith Olbermann decided to put pressure on MSNBC to annoint him as host of Meet The Press, according to an insider.
Chris Matthews was overheard jockeying for the job, too, during Wednesday's memorial service.
MSNBC denies the allegations.

Olbermann vehemently denied both assertions and included the Page Six authoress among his worst persons on last night's show. In fact, he so much as admitted that he wasn't qualified for the spot.

Olbermann left no doubt about it last night. I'm only surprised that Olbermann didn't deliver a Special Comment on the subject.

Olbermann seemed really pissed about this story. Said it was a straight up lie. I'm sure Matthews is on a list but I highly doubt he'd be at the funeral actually bragging himself up. That's beyond low class and tacky.

Exactly. I suggest that Andrew Google "page six". It defines itself as gossip. Does that scream credibility to you?

What about those of us who prefer a classic "Chicago style" dog, with the equivalent of a vegetable garden on top? (Don't forget the peppers...)

Oh, come on! That's exotic and classy, not depraved like those sickening ketchup-loving Republican freaks!

Exotic? Maybe for someone who didn't go to their first game in Wrigley at about age six...

Did Olbermann name Vanity Fair's Todd Purdum Worst Person for quoting 39 "anonymous sources" to insinuate Bill Clinton is still cheating on Hillary?

Dunno.
Hey, let's research and publish a list of everything Olbermann has not mentioned on his "Worst Person in the World" segment.
Andrew, you start on it. Oughtta keep you pretty busy. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'd be willing to bet he's never put Hitler on that list. Or Mussolini. The guy's clearly a fascist-lover.

Good! You've added two to the list.
We have endless possibilities. We could add quite a few to the list of worst people who've inflicted really, really bad movies on us. Battlefield Earth? Smokey and the Bandit Part III? Crossroads! Bad News Bears Go to Japan!

There was a Part III? Shiiiiiiiit.
Out on DVD? Just askin'. you know. for my worst movies collection. (Gulp.)

Andrew:
Perhaps if you spent more time actually watching or listening to the parties involved - and less on citing trashheaps like the Post, your posts might be taken more seriously by intelligent individuals.
Add another to the list of posters whose posts can be safely ignored completely.

Who owns the New York Post?
Who owns Fox News?
Who does Keith Olbermann direct a lot of criticism toward, on almost a daily basis?
Who ties Andrew Perez' shoes for him?

The Republican disinformation machine still rolls. No need for accuracy or resemblance to reality. It's much simpler that way and you don't even need real reporters. You can just hire anyone off the street that fails a polygraph test.
