Obama Needs Space Too People!
Anyone who wants Clinton to be the VP have to back way off of Obama and stop the over the top public pressure because the more public pressure he gets like this the less likely he is to choose her. He can't let his first big challenge of his post-nomination run end in him getting bullied by his "more experienced" challenger into putting her on the ticket. The VP choice has to be perceived as his actual choice not him caving into her and her people.
Yesterday Lanny Davis was all over the cable news networks talking about his idiotic petition to get Clinton on the ticket as VP. Now of course he phased it simply as trying to show Obama how much support she has; as if Obama is not aware of the numbers already. This is public pressure and nothing more and it shows a complete lack of respect for the nominee that a hack like Davis can think the he can push the nominee on something like a VP choice.
Meanwhile, Ed Rendell and many other responsible Clinton supporters are also telling everyone to back off Obama on picking Clinton. Obama is the nominee and he has to be able to decide this on his own and it has to look like his choice.
I don't know that he wouldn't pick her anyway but he absolutely can't if he can't make it look like it wasn't him caving into a more powerful political force.
