Larry Sinclair Ends His Press In Handcuffs
Larry Sinclair, the guy who claims to have done cocaine and had sex with Barack Obama, held a press conference today at the National Press Club. At the end of the event, he was arrested and led away in cuffs. From Ben Smith's blog:
He was arrested by Washington, D.C. police after his press conference
there today, two officials at D.C.'s First District station confirmed
to Politico.

He's had warrants out for a while for unrelated activities. I think it was brought up in a comment on this very site, and someone mentioned contacting the local authorities to let them know where he'd be...

Yeah, I noticed this when someone linked to a booking photo for Sinclair. The police website that hosted the photo clearly indicated that he had a warrant out for his arrest. I wondered how Sinclair could go to such a public gathering when he was a fugitive, and I wondered why the police couldn't just catch him there.
I'm still wondering on the first one. It's a pity they didn't arrest him before the talk started. Must have been republican cops.

Will Bower should not be allowed to gloss over his behavior a few months from now, when his candidate, John McCain is trounced in the general election.
What little cred Will Bower may have had as a political blogger should now be vaporized. He, like Larry Johnson, shouldn't be given further serious consideration in any respectable venue.
Those guys should be relegated strictly to the places where smear mongers hang out.
Feh.

OMG. Rec'd. Too funny.
I'd be curious to hear Steve O’Hearn's take on this turn of events.
What say you, Steve?
Is the Chair of the NPC's New Media Committee gonna weigh in? Opine? Condescend?
I'll be watching your space for updates, but I have to admit I'm expecting crickets:

Perhaps the NPC was perpetrating a sting operation.
