Josh Marshall Rewrites Campaign History
In Josh's post, he writes that Hillary did Obama a favor by getting all
of the bad out in the open, which now takes the sting from the
scandals. He accuses Hillary of basically throwing the kitchen sink at
Obama in her campaign to be the nominee. What is the evidence he lists?
Wright, Rezko and Bitter. First, let's take Wright. Hillary didn't have
anything to do with that blowup. That was pushed by the media. Josh
Marshal just rewrote campaign history #1. Now, Rezko. While Hillary did
mention it in a debate, it was to rebut Obama's attack earlier in the
debate questioning Hillary's commitment to the fight against the ideas
of Ronald Reagan and other conservatives. Further, the story was
already out there, published almost exclusively by Chicago papers. Josh
Marshall just rewrote campaign history #2. And now Bitter. Well,
unfortunately he's wrong again because that story broke from a report
by an Obama supporter on the pro-Obama Huffington Post site. Josh

I know Josh Marshall
wants us all to believe that his support for Obama was based on the
trashy attacks by Hillary, but it's just not true. Here's what Josh
completely leaves out: how Obama told us that he would get all of
Hillary's supporters, but she wouldn't get all of his; how Michelle
Obama said she'd have to think about it before voting for Hillary if
she were the nominee; how his campaign put out a talking points memo
fanning the flames suggesting that the Clintons' comments in New
Hampshire were racially charged. We also mustn't forget that when
nearly everyone was saying who they endorsed or for whom they were
voting, Josh Marshall did not. Much was discussed on this site re: such
an endorsement - many implored him to endorse Obama, while others noted
that it helped him keep his neutrality by not endorsing. His non-public
endorsement was all but known from those who regularly read his
posting, though, just like Donna Brazile - undeclared, but not
uncommitted.
It must be nice being able to gloat about how you were right about everything - if only it were true.

Hmm. A lot like...oh yeah, those who were against the war, but when they turned out to be correct, those in the process of saying "my bad" included, "Those against the war were right - but they weren't cause it was just a lucky, reflexive stance on their part".
I wanted Hillary to get the nomination slightly more than Obama, cause I don't much like either. As I read this site, I started to get really turned off by Obama backers, the ones that write "he's change! he's gonna change the nasty tone! and you hillary backers are idiots and we're gonna burn you when we knock that bitch out!" So out of touch they'd bitch at Josh for being...pro-Clinton! (If you go back to my posts a while back, I was asking Josh to admit his pro-Obama stance if only to quiet these clueless folks up.)
I couldn't understand how sensitive Obama supporters were. Hillary did nothing Obama wasn't doing. She was just pointing out things the Obama supporters didn't yet know about him, or the media was (and anything the did HAD to be at the behest of Hillary).
Point being, it wasn't a "disingenuous" argument. It was fact. I didn't say she MEANT to do him a favor - I don't know ONE Hillary supporter who did put it like that, THAT would be disingenuous - so yeah, this is pretty pathetic on Josh's part.

it is convenient to play nice to the clinton supporters now, what was ugly and hateful is useful now
sadly, hillary had nothing to do with rezko, wright or bitter, beyond having the press ask her about these, they were obama issues from day one
what josh marshall seems to think that if not for the mean old hillary and her quasi-racist bigot husband, those stories would have lain dormant until the fall
the sadness is that tpm used to make sense, now its just another obama spin zone, hear no evil see no evil and if it rears its ugly head call it racism evil, then all the little obama hooligans will dump on the poor sap who dares raise a voice

I don't believe many of these people support Hillary at all, or they would stand down as she has requested.
If they really respected Hillary, they woudl join her in supporting Obama and defending Michelle..
While there may be a few who put the agony of defeat over the integrity of convictions, most of the remaining bitterheads aren't Democrats in the first place, OR feminists OR liberals OR progressives, they are provocatuers here to divid the Democrats by continuing to shoot this dead horse in the foot...

Oh you mean like when Bosniagate blew up, and in an effort to deflect the heat from her own lies, she brings up, out of the blue, the "he wouldn't be my pastor" remark to Melon Scaife?
Oh yeah Hillary had nothing to do with flanning the flames..
