Is There Space on TPM For an Apolitical Post? Or Should I Retreat?
The following link will take you to an apolitical article from one of my favorite websites, which I link to from my personal Blog.
No Obama, no McCain, no Bush, no Clinton, no Iraq, no Iran, no FISA, no....

Well there clearly is - as witness the book club.
I guess we'll have to wait for a response - or lack of it - to see if anyone else is interested in discussions about online dating.
I'll admit I'm not. But I am interested in the findings on internet addiction; the powerful (and harmful) impact of the internet on people with mental health disorders.
I'm also interested in recent odd items I've seen on cable about the growing alarm older generation sociologists, psychologists etc seem to have about the negative impact they see of text messaging, blackberries, internet etc on sociability. The impact of immediacy etc.

But this does have policy/political implications. The same problem of too many choices plagues us in many areas of life. People rail against 'on size fits all' solutions. The say they want a choice even when they are not competent to make the choice. I work every day with medical insurance but I am not qualified to choose from among the competing plans offered for seniors as medicare advantage and part D plans. Those who must chose invariable chose wrong and were less stressed with the one size fits all plan of regular medicare.
