If Obama picks Hillary as VP.....
......I'm going to watch his first State of the Union address with popcorn and champagne while I take in the scene on my television.
Obama, Clinton, & Pelosi; historically leading the nation.
AND I'll watch Fox News all night long as they choke on their teeth. It will be great.
Beat Mc Cain!

bravo6 - Have no fear. Obama will definitely take the gloves off against McCain and the Republicans. He was walking a tight rope against Hillary. He slayed that dragon, and now he can lay the smack down on McCain.

YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOO RIGHT!! THERE ARE MANY GOOD CANDIDATES OUT THERE OTHER THAN HELLARY, ONES THAT SUPPORTED OBAMA FROM DAY ONE. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA WITH HER ON THE TICKET. SHE & BILL CLINTON HAVE CAUSED SO MUCH CHAOS AND HAVE PLAYED DIRTY DURING THIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN AND I WANT NO MORE OF THEM. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT HER AND BILL WOULD DO SHOULD SHE BECOME VP? AND ESPECIALLY BILL = WE COULD NOT IMPEACH HIM IF WERE TO BE CAUGHT PARKING IN SOMEONE ELSE'S GARAGE AGAIN AS WITH MONICA.
OBAMA HAS EARNED THE RIGHT TO PICK HIS OWN VP AND IT SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO HER.

I strongly believe their are better selections to boost our election likelihood (strong negatives, counter message). I fervently believe she has no place on the ticket (her attacks, her skills being better used in Senate or Cabinet, not any commentary on her abilities or experience).
Note to HRC supporters above: a comment without personal attacks on the poster or rival candidate, mixed in with clarity of respect for a rival candidate's attributes. Try it? And in considering your GE choice, note the times BHO supporters are doing this pls!

Please. No. What I most look forward to after tonight is the absence of all things Clinton. The manipulation. The "new math." The lying. The race-baiting. The sniper-fire. The 'waaaah, I'm a victim." The references to Zimbabwe. The crazy-ass supporters yelling about how Fox News is fair and balanced. In general, the drama.
If she blackmails him into picking her as veep, I will weep.

I'm fine with whomever Obama picks as his running mate. I don't think he'll pick Hillary, but if he does, I'll back it 100%. If we can't trust him to make the right VP choice, I'd say we've been backing the wrong candidate all along.
If he picks Hillary, then Hillary was the best choice.

I totally agree hrebendorf. She wasn't my first choice as the Presidential nominee, but I would have voted for her if she'd won. I most certainly will vote for the ticket with Obama at the top!

No disrespect to Senator Clinton, but the core reason we're talking about her as VP is because she ran a poorly conceived and dismally executed campaign.
The strategy of that campaign was to win using ONLY the 'big states', and there were apparently no real contingency plans in place to handle unforeseen problems.
In contrast, the Obama campaign has consistently targeted the key audiences and districts in EVERY state to maximize the impact of every effort. The candidate and the campaign has stayed on target and on message from day one, handling every challenge and always pivoting back to highlight Obama's core message.
Leaving ideology aside entirely for the moment, Obama has proved to my satisfaction that he can effectively organize, manage and lead a national movement. With emphasis on "effectively".
In my opinion, Hillary has not done this. For that reason alone, if for no other, I do not believe she has earned the VP slot.

It's not really a question of whether she's earned it. She's not my first choice, but Obama's in the best position to know whether the election dynamics will swing more favorably toward him if he has her on the ticket. I want him to WIN! If that means Hillary, okay. If that means someone else, OKAY!!!

OK. Maybe, I'm just happy he's at the finish line. I was/am pissed at Hillary and Bill, too.
