Gov. Ted Strickland Would Rather Be Cornholing....
Go ahead and laugh... I did and it did me good.
Via Ben Smith at Politico come this little gem.
Governor Strickland invites you to the first annual Ted Strickland for Governor 2008 Cornhole Tournament Tour. This exciting event will be held in locations throughout Ohio this summer.
Cornhole enthusiasts can sign up to play in the singles bracket or team up in the doubles bracket. The entry fees will be $50 for singles and $100 for doubles.
Based on the comments from the readers, it struck many of them the same way it did me.

A former student (from OH) who gave me his resume so I could write him a recommendation for work as a law clerk for a judge. Very earnest, serious, conservative young man. At the bottom of his resume under "interests" was listed something about how he was some sort of cornhole enthusiasm; my first thought was, not that there's anything wrong with it, but there might be more subtle ways to signal whatever it is you're trying to signal. Only later did I learn about the beanbag game that makes the Ohioans crazy . . .
