Dean Self Annihilates

Remember '04, when Howard Dean fought

against a process STOLEN FROM THE VOTERS IN 2000?

And he passionately spoke to restore power to the
voters?

And how happy we were to see the great Howard
Dean running DNC?

And he stepped in, and

. Two states got a hatchet job;

.  Caucus goers were intimidated.  There were rampant
reports of voter fraud;

. the prominent democratic youth blogs were hijacked, so that young
people were only exposed to hate rhetoric against one of the two candidates,
and praise only for the DNC candidate??

. Delegates and Superdelegates were intimidated and bribed;

.  The VOTERS ELECTED one candidate, but the DNC over-rode their choice,
    and APPOINTED THEIR OWN NOMINEE;

In essence, under Howard Dean, this election was STOLEN FROM THE VOTERS.

Everything that Dean fought for in '04, he fought against in '08.

This time, Howard Dean did not lose.
American democracy did.

Sore loser.

Harriet, is that you?

As Coroner I must aver,
I thoroughly examined her.
And she's not only merely dead,
She's really, most sincerely dead.

Then this is a day of Independence,
for all true Democrats and their descendants.

Clinton lost.

I just want to let everybody know, for historical reference, that June 5 was the day a huge section of the city of Constantinople, Turkey burned, killing 900.

I just automatically think of June 5 as Burning Constantinople Day, in case that ever pops up in conversation and it seems inexplicable or inappropriate to you.

That's just how I remember it's June 5.

So don't freak out or make a big deal out of it if I bring it up.

There never was a city in Turkey by the name of Constantinople, so you'd better check your calendar.

Way to show Hillary's Mnemonic Calender who's the smart one

Turkey was created in 1923 when the Ottoman Empire dissolved following World War I. It seems there was about a seven-year period before Constantinople was officially renamed to Istanbul in 1930.

I did find sources that claim it was renamed to Istanbul following the formation of that Ottoman Empire in 1453, though one says it wasn't officially renamed until the Turkish post office requested the world to acknowledge that change. That occurred in 1930.

So, there is evidence that indeed a place called Constantinople, Turkey did exist from 1923 to 1930, though most local Turks have been calling the city Istanbul since the 10th century, locally, no matter what the conquerors called it.

Stop. You're all wrong, and all right.
Stamboul, Istanbul, Constantinople -- same word, same root.
Just like the Egyptian city of al-Iskandariya (known in the West as Alexandria).
Or the dispute over whether it's Burma or Myanmar.
In Burmese, they are basically two pronunciations of the same word.
Mumbai, Bombay.
You can make your own lists; it's fun.

You are absolutely correct.

They are all wrong.

We have lost another GE.

Thank you for your reply, but even so, Hillary's Calendar is wrong because the fire to which it refers took place in the 19th century, when there was no Turkey, only the Ottoman Empire.
