YAAAAY. She won among people who have NO vote in November. What an accomplishment. So now what?

If winning the popular vote among people who can't vote in the general election doesn't convince the superdelegates to flee Obama and join Team Hillary, NOTHING WILL!!!!

CBS projects her the winner in Narnia. Yay.

With 16 percent of the vote counted, Clinton leads Obama among White Witches, trolls and beavers.

Now 46 percent counted. Clinton losing ground among High Kings. Exit polls confirm Aslan's endorsement of Obama propels him to wide lead among lions.

Close race, Clinton leading 52-48 with 79 percent of vote counted. Still waiting for the all-important Centaur vote to come in ...

Clinton takes it 53-47 with 99% of precincts reporting. Ouch. Another BIG WIN for Clinton. Superdelegates, don't ignore the Narnia vote!!

Wow, really? She WON in PR? What a shock...

So according to Hillary's popular vote lead, you don't count caucus states because they don't count vote totals, you don't count Michigan votes for Obama because he wasn't on the ballot but you do count Puerto Rico who will not vote in the General Election?

Yeah - who cares about the effing Hispanics anyway? Certainly not Obama or his campaign. He's winning the 90% of the black vote and losing the white vote, Hispanic vote, Asian vote. That bodes real well for Dems in November.
los demócratas son jodidos

Just like a Hillbot to exchange "race" for "enfranchised." Get a effing life.

Well the DNC cut the Hispanic vote in Florida in 1/2 and then you want to wholly disregard the votes from PR as if they don't matter? Can you further dilute the voice of Hispanic voters in anyway?
I believe it was a racebaiting pro-Obama ad in Nevade that in spanish claimed: "Hillary Clinton does not respect our people. Hillary Clinton is shameless. Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people. Sen. Obama’s campaign slogan is 'Si Se Puede.' Vote for a president who respects us, and who respects our right to vote." FYI - Hispanics voters in NV didn't fall for it and still went overwhelmingly for Hillary. Butit seems like if you substitute Obama for Hillary, that's how PR has been treated by the Obama campaign. Keep up the great unity work!

You're the one talking about "effing Hispanics." Neither I nor my candidate ever said that.

That you know of :)

Since when did only Hispanics vote in Florida. They are not even a majority of the voters in that state, by a long shot. You really are exposing yourself to be a completely irrational Moron.

Florida has 3.8 million Hispanics - 3rd most in the US. Hispanics are the second largest ethnic grpoup in the country 45.5 million. Blacks represent about 41 million as the third largest. You want to pretend Hispanics don't matter in this election then be my guest. Stellar strategy for November.
June 1, 2008 4:05 PM | Reply | Permalink
Oh that's 3.8 million Hispanicsout of 17 million floridians. My calculations put that as 22% of Florida voters being Hispanic - but don't trust my calculations since I'm a completely irrational moron that can't possibly be right. Hispanics are totally insignificant. Carry on!
June 1, 2008 4:09 PM | Reply | Permalink
You are an Irrational Moron since you are claiming that the decision was targeted at Florida's Hispanic voters, while at the same time you admit that they were only about 20% of those who voted.

Yeah i totally agree with what you said....
Also i would like to add, that in puerto rico those citizens are american's...... they have always had the right to vote in the democratic nomation process and should always have that right..... and it is not the people in puerto rico's fault that they can't vote in the general election........
the results in puerto rico, could help her with hispanic, asian voters in the united states.....
.... super delegates do the right thing.....
don't dare give this to barack obama since he didn't carry the popular vote.....
DON'T OVER TURN THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.

Actually latest poll out of CA his Obama beating Hillary which would include the hispanic, the women's etc etc etc.
June 1, 2008 3:25 PM | Reply | Permalink
Is it really broken down by demographics and shows Obama beating Hillary head to head among Hispanic voters and women? I'd be real interested to see that poll. Please pull your heads out of the sand and acknowledge there IS a problem when the presumptive nominee continues to get thrashed in states and territories.

He's definitely not doing as well in Hillary in some demographics. That he's doing better overall indicates that she's doing even worse in other demographics. No candidate can appeal to all people. That doesn't mean we write those demographics off, but it does mean that we don't cry, "Woe is me!" just because you can slice the demographic a certain way and find a certain segment that prefers another candidate.

What kind of "caring" do you want? The delegates will be added to Hillary's total, and to Obama's total. And since the delegate count is ultimately what matters, that's the most important form of "caring" about the outcome.
There are no rules for calculating the popular vote, so if Hillary wants to multiple Hispanic vote totals by a compensating factor of ten million, it's just as valid as any other way of calculating the popular vote.

I saw a poll that shows that against McCain in the state of California, Obama takes 70% of the latino vote (I hate the word hispanic). What say you to that statistic?

Hillary wins BIG - unfortunately, voter turnout was LOW!!!!
Typical hillary. Excelling in metrics that are completely meaningless.
Seems to be her life story.

cnn exit polls show that 60% to 80% of the people who voted in puerto rico, voted for hillary clinton.....I'M PRAYING THAT THERE WAS A HIGH TURN OUT......
GO HILLARY!!!!!!

Yes because 75% of PR supports Hillary. Or maybe Obama supporters realize the primary is over and decided to do something else on Sunday afternoon.
I fully accept that she is the more popular of the two in PR, but the race is over.

I just want to let everybody know, for historical reference, that June 1 was the day an explosion at a coal mine killed 236 in Fukuoka, Japan.
I just automatically think of June 1 as Fukuoka, Japan Coal Mine Disaster Day, in case that ever pops up in conversation and it seems inexplicable or inappropriate to you.
That's just how I remember it's June 1.
So don't freak out or make a big deal out of it if I bring it up.

Exit polling from Puerto Rico shows that 97.3% of those who voted for Senator Clinton said that they did so in the hope that by doing so it would make Hillary, Bill, and Chelsey stop bothering them, STFU, and go back to New York, so that they would not have to see or hear from them ever again. The voters called it: Giving those annoying pests what they want, and then maybe we can resume our normal lives.

Projected voter turnout in PR: 15% (Thanks CNN and MSNBC)!!
85% of registered Democrats couldn;t be bother to rush out and show their 'support' for Hillary.
Says quite a lot. :)

So Obama wins another 14 delegates raising his total to 2068, putting him within 50 delgates of 2118 and victory. Hillary would need 213 additional delegates to win, which isn't going to happen.
How long will Hillary drag this out? How much damage will she do to the Democratic Party and how much good will she do John McCain in his attempt to give Bush a third term?
