I thin that one of Karl Rove's major problems, and perhaps the key to his personality, is that precisely his "tool" is not all that big.

Karl Rove is a genius. Information by its nature wants to be free and spread. He knew how important information is, and how important it is to control it. He just went to the darkside, and tried to overly manipulate information. Because of that, he's a tool.

He is a genius. Successfully branded the Republicans so well and thoroughly that they're forced to campaign pretending like they're Democrats now. (guy from Oregon.)
