Remember how all the pundits said she would not take the VP slot because it was sort of a step down?

Well I think Hillary has a different view. You know ANYTHING can happen.......

I've mentioned this before. What do you think a applicant for "Presidential Food Taster" would have to put on is resume?

There is only one person for that job - Chelsea Clinton.

And the overt public campaigning for the spot begins.

Stay strong Barack.

Wasn't it Hillary who called Paula Jones white trailer trash? Take a good look in the mirror, HRC.
It angers me, as a white woman, that the latest HRC tactic, vis a vis Obama, is one, not just out of the Rove playbook, but worse, one that is straight out of the South in the 1950's: no matter how badly she treats him, no matter how often he smiles and says "Yes, ma'am," he is the one being held to a higher standard of behavior. I grew up with this, and it nauseates me to see it being replayed, this way, with a similar cover offered to HRC that she be allowed to "exit gracefully, on her terms, on her timetable."
WHY IS THAT? one asks. WHY is it he, who has won by hard work and great forebearance, who is being treated as if he is beholden to her -- rather than she being obligated to acknowledge his achievement?
Now I hear noise on MSNBC that she wants to get the VP nod. Diabolically clever as a maneuver -- if he says "no" who will pay the price? -- and so very 1950's southern in its manipulative exploitation of the nice black man while the white woman pays no price for her own actions.
Pardon this affront to my southern mother and grandmother, but, F*** NO!!!!

I think it's OK. What she said is, "I am open to it if it would help the party's prospects in November." In other words, IF it would help.

Personally, I don't think the Clintons could pass the vetting process. I've never thought she had much of a chance to be elected, and I still don't.

Obama will once again disappoint you and put Clinton on the ticket.

He started wearing a flag pin didn't he?

He quit Trinity didn't he?

Obama-Clinton '08

Go Team!

Still Not. Gonna. Happen.

I wouldn't read too much into this. She gave a fairly generic answer to an awkward question from a NY supporter. It sounds like she's being barraged with questions from every which way, and the scoop-hungry press is running with every little tidbit.

Too little too late.

If she wanted VP, she needed to behave a whole lot better than she has.

Where are the Oompa-Loompas?

Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-do
I have a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-dee
If you are wise, you'll listen to me

What do you get when you run a bad race?
Giving the Democrats a slap in the face.
What did you think starting this spat?
What do you think will come of that?

I don't like the look of it

Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-da
If you're not greedy, you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do

Okay, that comment wins the Alexander von Humboldt prize for "Best Invocation of Oompa-Loompas in a US Presidential Contest."

I don't hand these things out lightly, folks.

Thank you. Thank you. I am honored.

Do I get my golden egg now?

No, I'm sorry, Easter's over. No VP spot, no golden egg. Please don't scream.

Did somebody say no golden egg for Hillary?

well, she could have said absolutely not. She could have said I'd take it in a second. Or she could have parsed and said I'd consider it "if it would help the party". She'll consider whether or not she'll help unify a party she intentionally divided.

She's never coming back from this power trip she's been on.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Lets just move on..........

PLEASE NO HRC AS VP !!!

Biden
Webb
Hagel

in no paticular order.

I'd love to see Webb get it, but his sexist remarks of 20 years ago would set the Obama campaign back a month. I don't know if he can afford Jim Webb. He sure would be a great choice, though.

Okay, Hillary is open to it. But is Obama? Anybody asked him? Since, you know, it'll be him making the choice, not Hillary.

Somebody needs to tell her that the vp slot is not open to her.
