Ya think grandpa McCain will be hard to beat this fall?
This post by Kos is laugh-out-loud funny. McCain is having a few too many senior moments lately - I can't wait until Obama debates him! ;)

Carol:
And as soon as the media is forced to remove their nose from its position firmly inside McCain's ass, I imagine it will not even be close.
Thanks for the link!

I hate to bring the celebration down a notch, but remember that the sympathy vote might actually help McCain. When Gore trounced Bush during the debates, I think it made a lot of people think of Gore as a bully for making Bush look bad (not that Bush needed any help, of course). The same might happen after Obama/McCain debates. I hope not, but I wouldn't be so sure it couldn't happen.

Ah, that's very true, Ben. But I don't think that Obama will make the same mistake. He will be ultra-respectful and maybe even show some deference to the "elder stateman", but the visual and aural differences will be very powerful, don't you think? And I think Obama will capitalize on that without eliciting sympathy for McCain.

Let's hope so. My intuition says you're right, but my experience has taught me never to trust my intuition. :P

McCain has been quick to skewer the old and frail in years past. I still remember this:
"The best thing about Alzheimer's is that you can hide your own Easter eggs."
