After AP reported this month on the th that a long time progressive advocate in the Senate Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor after being admitted to the hospital earlier in the week for what was reported as brief spates of dizziness. Dignitaries from both sides of the isle came out to wish the man the very best and speedy recovery. I had a chance to get an idea of the type of malignancy this is and the mortality associated with it; and it doesn't look good. Though the man stood for things I never thought advanced the the American way, but aide and abet a social insurgency - he is a true power player in the Senate. Respected by both sides. President Bush's comments were [I feel] quiet appropriate. Even Barack Obama took a moment away from duck-and-cover to expound on the relationship be tween Senator Kennedy and he, to which I must respect.
My prayers would be [even though many of his far left colleague believe nothing fails like prayer...may be singing a slightly different tune today] I would never wish this sort of thing on my worst enemy. My prayers are with Ted for a speedy recovery and complete recovery; all according God's providence. Hopefully Mr. Kennedy will take this time and consider his retirement options, he has put his time in.

Thanks for the back-handed well-wishes, nonetheless.

No problem, want to be sensitive - but still keep it real.

Yes we all are hoping that Ted beats the odds.
As for you feeling that Ted should retire, and that he is no longer fit to serve;
Thank you for pointing out why people should not
elect John McCain to the highest office in the land.

And thank you for reminding me why I don't support the man either. But he's best bet out of the current lot no doubt.
