What's Good for the Gander...
I am more than slightly amused at the predicament that Hillary finds herself in following her assassination comment, even though I don't find her comment that troubling. It seems a bit of karmic payback to see her insisting that her comments were misinterpreted after she had deliberately and misleadingly taken Obama's "cling to guns" comment out of context and hammered it home for her political gain. Obama was clearly talking about why certain voters (hard-working white Americans in Hillary's parlance) would vote against their own economic self interest and how the Right exploited this election after election. Any adult would look past the particular words to get the full contextual meaning of Obama's response. Hillary, wearing her Rove hat, latched onto "cling" and "bitter" and twisted their meaning within Obama's response for her political gain. Now the shoe is in the other mouth. I don't for a second believe that Hillary is waiting to see if Obama gets offed before the convention. I do find it amusing to watch her squirm a bit as she fights against the same tactic she employed. What's good for the gander is good for the goose.

You are too trusting (a nice thing to see by the way, something I respect). Why do you think Bill is now encouraging the idea of Hillary as VP? To position her to inherit the Presidency through a terrible act of fate, the job she has been unable to win democratically.
By fighting the long battle to win Florida's electoral votes in 2000, even though he had lost the popular national vote, George W. Bush showed the world that he was willing to claw his way into the Presidency, even though he would serve under the cloud of illegitimacy. The Clintons are no less ambitious. Hillary will accept the job however it comes to her, and I have no doubt that she cares much more about getting the job, than about how she gets it. Her "assassination" comment betrayed what is on her mind: about the only scenario left that puts her in the Presidency.

Hillary goosed her own self.

Pete,
Using your parlance, would you then say Hillary's gander is cooked?

Well, Barney, it's definitely been a slow-cooking, while many people would like to pop her in the microwave to speed up the process.

I think she's more like one of those slow-turning spits you see in medieval banquets and cheap kebab stores. People don't want to microwave her, just throw her down into the charcoal.

"What's good for the gander is good for the goose."
Is this a sexist remark?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Hillary did, and now they do. Nuff said.

Poetic justice in more than one way. Well done, and worth a recommend in itself, along with the excellent point.
I agree. I wish the Hillary-haters could back off their conspiracy theories. There's plenty to criticize without ascribing murderous intent to what has turned out to be an inept campaigner.
