We're Fighting For Our Freedom

According to Bush (and therefore, McCain), we are fighting the good fight in the Middle East in order to protect "our freedom".

Didn't we already have a fight for our freedom back in the 1700's?  And didn't we win it?

How is "our freedom" a factor in Iraq?  Are the people in Iraq trying to overtake us?

Seems to me that the only ones attacking "our freedom" are the Republicans currently in office.

About freedom -- ours and that of others: is it possible that George Bush is actually planning an attack on Iran before the end of his term? I read two articles today that alluded to that grotesque and truly alarming possibility.
Rhetorical question: is he that insane?

It's all BS and even the man on the street knows this now....alas, a bit late. A secret cabal is now looking for new tricks and scams to stay in power....

Synonyms for "our freedom" in this context:

our way of life
our God-fearing Christian nation
our right to exist as the Republican Party

Yes. Exactly.

God-fearing. Muslim-fearing. Iran-fearing. Terrorist-fearing.

Meantime, our erstwhile President is the most fearsome thing our planet faces, today.

"We're Fighting For Our Freedom"

I hate that Bush'ist line. The other one I absolutely despise with equal venom is "freedom isn't free"

aargh!

We had to fight the "Commies" in Vietnam in Vietnam to prevent their sampan navy landing in San Francisco and disembarking their enormous military as an invasion of yellow peril hoards.

Exactly as we had to invade Grenada -- more "Commie" lies: it was only pretending to be a small island -- to prevent the impending destruction of the US because the Grenadan military collosus was working to transform its deceptively-small smoking gun into a mushroom cloud.

Besides, Grenada, which had been a lily-white British colony, then had a gov't operated by blacks.

"Seems to me that the only ones attacking "our freedom" are the Republicans currently in office."

With the constant support of the Democrats all the way. Let's never forget that. As far as I'm concerned, our entire Congress should be imprisoned for their failure to uphold the Constitution as they swore to do. Not to mention genocide in Iraq.

but of course! we are fighting for our freedom to kick the ass of whomever we deem fit (or unfit for that matter) for obscure and unfounded reasons (if any at all)
