DoD Propaganda: Connecting Senate Inquiry To DoD Staffer

There is a potential war crimes issue the Senate may soon confront. DoD allegedly illegally used retired military officers to spread propaganda about Iraq. The names connected with this effort are allegedly linked with other deceptions involving the Secretary of Defense.

The emails are revealing and connect specific DoD public affairs officials to these alleged war crimes. The same name connecting Donald Rumsfeld to alleged war crimes was the source of an inadvertent, admissible disclosure of DoD public affairs internal discussions.

Department of Defense media planning cells include legal counsel.

The Senate has a copy of an email with the same name of the person who left notes at Starbucks. In late March 2004, DoD public affairs civilian Eric Ruff left a copy of notes of key names of Senior Administration officials discussing combat operations in Iraq. The notes were draft comments for late March 2004 Sunday talk shows

Within months, the DoD finalized a plan to use military officers to speared alleged propaganda to American civilians. The notes on page 5 of 7  show the President had still now yet finalized his reasons for military actions in Iraq.

The Senate is reportedly
poised to review the DoD domestic propaganda program.  Ask about the
media messaging analysis NSA contractors did on the domestic
intercepts, and how DoD knew which of the comments would most likely
mobilize public support.

The Senate must reconsider the DoD domestic propaganda. The issue is not narrowly inaccurate information. Other issues involve larger deceptions allegedly linked with the President, Secretary of Defense, DoD General Counsel, and the DoD public affairs office. It is a violation of the attorney standards of conduct for attorneys to transmit through the media or others information prohibited under the attorney standards of conduct. The Senate must review what information DoD General counsel knew was inaccurate, but passed through others to the media.

If proven true, domestic propaganda to support alleged illegal warfare could be a subsequent war crime. Nuremberg is precedent for prosecuting civilians.
