Vice-Presidential Choices For Obama That Would Be Even Less Acceptable Than Hillary Clinton
Genghis Khan
Although his political philosophy is far more progressive than Sen. Clinton's, Khan was not a native-born American and therefore not eligible to be President.
Osama bin Laden
Despite the marketing potential embodied in the similarity of their names, the Democrats will need to court the Christian vote and cannot afford to have two Muslims heading the ticket.
William Howard Taft
Sadly, Taft's bulk would make a silly-looking combination in juxtaposition with Obama's tall slimness. This is unfortunate for Taft, who otherwise might achieve the political equivalent of hitting for the cycle. It seems that Vice President is the only Federal office he never held.
Sacagawea
Native-born and a true American hero, Sacagawea would make an ideal running mate if she hadn't had the bad judgement to die almost 200 years ago. Pity, but the Republicans would make an issue of it.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
See Genghis Khan, above. It should also be noted that Khan's accent is more understandable than the Governator's.
Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson might confuse Michelle Obama with Sally Hemmings. This could lead to embarrassing gaffes that could damage the campaign.
Billy Glad
The Republicans would repeat the Dukakis/Bentsen argument they made successfully in 1988, saying that the ticket should have been turned upside down to put the more qualified candidate at the top.
Bill Clinton
Having the ex-president on the ticket would certainly be useful in garnering votes from the South and from northern DINOs. However, he was willing to kill Vince Foster just to cover up an affair. Worse still, he was willing to support Sen. Clinton's presidential campaign. So Obama would have to worry that Clinton might attempt assassination for the sake of re-seizing power.
John McCain
Way too old.
Jane Fonda
Otherwise quite acceptable, Hanoi Jane must be rejected for her husband. The Republicans would raise a deafening drumbeat about Ted Turner's plans to give away a billion dollars and how this demonstrates a complete lack of judgement. Fonda would be tarred with the same brush and it would prevent the Democratic campaign from raising the important issues this fall.
Spiro Agnew
Barak Hussein Obama/Spiro Agnew sounds too much like a diagnosis of multiple STDs.

I predict unhappiness for you. You're not going to be happy if Obama picks Hillary, and you're not going to be happy if Obama loses to McCain.
