Up From Indiana, Down to Tennessee
Being a first post and everything, I figure it's best not to come empty handed. Getting the obligatory "I've long admired this website" and "I love what you've done with your hair" parts of a first post out of the way only takes so long, so I'll move on.
Anyway, here's what I brought for you this fine Monday morning.
If you don't got the time or inclination to take a look, but wonder just what the hell it is, here goes... it's a music video mashing up John Mellencamp & India Arie's 'Peaceful World' duet with a bit of the Obama campaign.
As I explained over at T.G.O.S. (where I posted the video about an hour ago):
I never heard the song until a couple days ago, but it struck me powerfully and seems to have been written specifically for this election, even though it was released back in the fall of 2001 (supremely bad timing for a song titled Peaceful World).Anyway, the song seems to fit nicely with the Obama campaign, and I'm not too modest to share my own hope-mongering take with you. Sorry I couldn't bring anything better for my first post.
