To my friends and fellow voters who support Senator Clinton I ask, "Which is it?"

Friends,
A curious situation is arising in this primary campaign.

For months we've all seen (and many of us have posted) comments that this race isn't over until it's over.

Over the past several days another common theme has arisen; that the Obama camp is doing little to attract the supporters of Senator Clinton.

To my friends who support Senator Clinton I have to say that I'm confused.

Which is it?

If the Senator from New York still has a chance at this nomination, isn't it disrespectful of the Obama team to prematurely count her out by trying to unite her supporters behind him?

If you believe Senator Obama and his team are not taking your feelings or your past dedication to the Democratic party into account,  do you believe deep down that this race is over?

I don't think you can have it both ways.

It is over unless treachery and HRC's penchant for criminal behavior prevail. Anything is possible, according to HilLIARy

kriminil,
While I understand why you feel the way you do, it's time for comments like this to stop.

I personally think she's done. Save your energy for the general.

Johnny (Edwards) come lately but nonetheless important, maybe....let's see what happens in Oregon and Kentucky. Those who say they're "Democratics" and would not vote for Obama because of whatever reason(s) other than because of policy issues, it only proves Obama’s comments and observations back during the Nevada caucuses that Reagan "Democrats" are willing to vote against their economic and social issues. What irony - disaffected Republicans voting for Obama while disaffected Democrats voting for McCain...

Sen. Clinton obviously has a diminishing chance at the nomination for a variety of reasons, yet I see no reason for her to drop out, nor do I see any reason that Obama shouldn't try to get more of the party behind him. He (or any other nominee) are going to need everybody in November.

Magister,
This post actually started as a reply to a comment of yours, so I'm glad to see you weigh in.

I almost always read your posts when I see them. From what I've seen, you have a level head and a respectful demeaner.

I was in a rush earlier. This post does not really say what I wish it did.

I have to admit I am not quite sure what you are trying to say, Slouch.

I can say that I respect and support Sen. Clinton's decision to stay in until Obama reaches 2025 delegates. I'm not going to abandon her valiant (to me) and historic efforts for a couple of reasons, if you're interested. But I can't get a handle on where you are in your thinking, what assumptions might lie behind your queries or curiosity or ambivalence. So I hesitate to answer this more specifically because I don't want to wander. Can you elaborate more about what you find perplexing? If not here, maybe in another post?

In the name of supporting Clinton, btw, I will likely call people out on continuing their smears and attacks against her, as I have always done.

Also, I may sound critical of Obama in my comments. I am critical of him. But coming from me, that's not the same as attacking him. I do realize, however, that the way I express myself can sometimes sound differently than I intend, so I'm always open to reconsidering how I've stated something, as long as someone doesn't attack me outright. (Then I reserve the right to defend myself.)

Anyway, I don't visit Hillaryis44.org; never have. I have no idea why Obama supporters like fabooj and NCSteve do. I think a problem is that people assume since I support Hillary, I share the views of her supporters on Hillaryis44. Well, I don't even know what their views are, so I can't say whether I share them or not. I think lots of misunderstandings arise on this site because people make incorrect and unwarranted assumptions about supporters on either side.

See? I'm wandering.

Great question. I was thinking that the other day when someone here, posted that Obama was "acting cocky" like he had the nomination sewn up, in one thread, then in 4 other threads within the same hour kept posting that Obama hasn't kissed his ass sufficiently enough. Since I think that particular poster is more than slightly insane, I ignored it, but then there are 5 other Clinton supporters who did the same thing. They all post over at His44 and I've seen it there too, so it's just a talking point. Yet another talking point that makes no sense logically.

"Which is it?"??

Is this your first rodeo?

Must be, cowboy!

Show me how it's done!

Not to answer a question with a question....but which is it Obama supporters. Is it over and time to put the long knives away and try to heal things with Clinton and her supporters? Thereby ending the endless stream of posts skewering Hillary?

Or is it actually not over. All the talk of VP's and Cabinets is premature and the campaign is actually as status quo as its been?

It's over.

I'm through skewering.

Unless someone tries to skewer me.
