The (Low) Road Less Traveled
When Obama won Wisconsin for his 11th straight primary victory, many analysts said the race for the Democratic nomination was over. The math at that point was insurmountable for Hillary Clinton. In fact, just prior to the Texas primary there were reports of in-fighting in the Clinton campaign. The two factions argued over whether to throw the “kitchen sink” at Obama or to run a positive campaign and go out with dignity (a la John Edwards) .
By now, we all know now that Hillary chose the low road.
She called Obama a plagiarist, a right-winger, a liar, a left-winger, an elitist, a snob and not white working class. She sold her soul to Richard Mellon Scaife, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. She played the race card, the gender card, the hick card and the gun card. She alienated the black community, the activist base, economists and about half the United States that “didn’t matter”. She ran ads featuring ominous 3am phone calls, the great depression and Osama bin Laden. She threatened to obliterate Iran and name dropped 9/11. She gulped beer, pumped gas and took shots of whiskey. She loaned herself $11 million dollars and racked-up an additional $10 million in debt. She offered her base an (at best) $30 gas tax holiday while simultaneously begging them for $50 donations.
After all that soul-selling, name calling and reputation trashing, she netted -2 pledged delegates (381 to Obama’s 383).
So, yes she is a fighter. A tenacious and utterly pointless fighter.

You can't even call it a Pyrrhic victory; because there is no point. Unless, of course, the point is to show that she's a tough lady who won't give up or something else utterly selfish.
This is a party Hillary, not a debutante ball. It's supposed to be for everyone. At this point you're the drunk with the lampshade on your head. You may be having fun but the straights are putting their jackets on and getting ready to leave. You're the chick who stole my Michelobs out of the fridge. You're the double-dipper working the chip-tray. You're the one who pukes in the bathroom sink then keeps going back for shots. You're th---
(We get the point, move on).

You can't trash the people who don't support you initially, because there's a good chance they'll never support you after that. Obama gets it and Clinton just doesn't. You shouldn't fight just for the sake of fighting. It's sad to see her go down like this cannabilizing her own party and taking people's money based on her "fairy tale."
