Swift Boating Perry Family Sex Addiction Scandal!!!

Will Perry is the son of Bob Perry, a major funder of the Swift Boat Vets and the G.O.P. Will is also a G.O.P. donor, although he gives less than his father. From the Fort Bend Star:
I don’t like to write about divorces. There’s seldom a happy ending and it is such nasty, personal business. But when egregious actions occur…I reserve the right to expose those actions to the public…Under questioning by Laura Perry’s attorney, Will Perry admitted he has been a sexual addict for many years, but had quit attending Sex Addicts Anonymous in January, 2008. He said he had sex with “probably” 20 prostitutes since his marriage. During this testimony, Mrs. Perry left the courtroom and her uncontrollable sobs in the hall could be heard inside. A chart in Will Perry’s handwriting that he had drawn several years ago tracing his sexual addiction blamed his sexual addiction problems on his father who he claimed was an alcoholic and verbally abusive.

Well, you seem quite ready to make the first comment, did you just expect everyone to agree?
CEO's right, this is about hypocrisy, and fooling those "f*&^%$g faith-based" voters into believing the Republican Party is a paragon of any virtues.
Mrs. Perry is just one of many victims here, there are a million more of them who actually believed in some lofty moral highness belonging to "Republicans" as part of their brand.
Along with taking the tax and spend label away from the Dems, they also lost thier "moral high ground" myth.
Seems the R's real character is being exposed more every day. It's no wonder they are losing thier seats in "solid red districts."
November looks very dark indeed for Republicans.

This is from the same party, the repubs that gave us David Vitter, a Reps who championed Family Values, but went to the prostitutes anyway AND lied about it.
The reaction of the Republicans? Moral outrage? Disownment? Strong words?
None of the above. They congratulated him with "coming clean" and resumed their normal day to to day spinning activities.
Of course, it's not about the prostitutes or visiting them. (Have you seen his wife!?!? :))
It's about hypocrisy. But ... Republicans have a long tradition with not being able to see that.

You are committing the identical atrocity . . . only less effectively and on the cheap. What is heinous in Perry's behavior is more tradegic in yours as you appear to know that these actions are politically and socially unacceptable.
Perry uses his wealth and the wealth of others to do bad things for political reasons. Focusing on this is acceptable and reasonable.
Impuning Perry's lack of character by maligning his mental disorder is wholehearted inappropriate.
Yes, Perry is a broken person. Part of his disease includes behavior that subverts treatment of his condition. The nature of an addiction overwhelms rational thought and behavior.
Yes, Perry chooses to do broken things. Criticize and argue for the mitigation and elimination on those actions.
Two wrongs do not make a right . . . and should NEVER make a left.
