Scott McClellan's family

The book just out by Scott McClellan is going to cause nightmares in Republican backrooms.  Scott's grandfather was a brilliant political tactician, in addition to being a widely acclaimed tort lawyer.  Any one of the family  could out think Karl Rove before their morning coffee, and Scott is not the dumbest.  He and his brothers were in every corner of power in the Bush regime, and that family stays together.  Things should get right interesting.  If I were Carole Keeton Strayhorn, I would be very worried about my baby son's continued health.  The timing of the book is hardly an accident.

I was thinking along the same lines. I just can't imagine Scott writing this book without the support of his family.

I don't know much about his family but it appears to me that they believe that politics is an honorable way to serve one's country. Now obviously what the Bush WH did was dishonorable. So I can imagine them supporting his decision to come clean.

Her father was W. Page Keeton the longtime dean of the University of Texas Law School and a renowned expert on tort law. The University of Texas at Austin renamed a section of 26th Street on the UT campus "Dean Keeton" in his honor.

Among others he guided LBJ. Carole Keeton Strayhorn learned well, and her four sons appear to have been very apt pupils.

Mark McClellan was both (at different times) Medicare director and Food and Drug Administrator.

Twins Brad and Dudley are in state government. Not at low levels. Current state Republicans are not very fond of "one tough Grandma", and her children.

Thanks for the good news.
