Everyone logging into TMP has seen the reference to Liz Trotta's little joke at her mis-speak of Osama's, er, Obama's name...

What is interesting is that while there are over 9,000 google web hits on: Liz Trotta Obama, there are only 3 hits from google news, all of them non-MSM.
A fine example of a Blue Code of Silence for reporters, I think.

A campaign to have her fired now exists. I haven't signed it, but I think it interesting. What is MORE interesting is that such a campaign appears to be needed. Blue Code indeed.

On the left-hand-side is box to send anonymous news tips to FOX. Seems like a great way to let them know how you feel about Ms. Trotta's suggestion.

I emailed Fox directly but I didn't restrict myself to Trotta - I also pointed out that it was disgraceful of the anchor to join in with the laughter.

actually, I don't think the anchor was amused. He said something to the effect of tell us how you really feel. Not to excuse him, he should have called her on it, but I think it's a stretch to say he found the joke amusing.

For the record, I thought Ms. Trotta's remark was the single worst I've heard in ages. Most times people get bent out of shape, it's clear that there is ambiguity to it, or the context is hazy. This is the first time I've heard something so egregiously blatant. There is no excusing it. The veil slipped briefly, and what we saw was something deformed and ugly.
