Rasmussen: Its over

Rasmussen says that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee for president.

This is just one more indicator that the press, the CW, and soon the public at large will know what the more math inclined among the blogosphere have been saying since Wisconsin, this race is over.

From the article

However, while Senator Clinton has remained close and competitive in every meaningful measure, she is a close second and the race is over. It has become clear that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee.

With that being said, congratulations to my fellow Obama supporters, but now is no time to celebrate. We have a party to heal, and a flip-flopping, war-mongering, election law breaking Republican nominee in McCain to bring down.

Clinton supporters, your candidate ran a good race, came closer than any other second place finisher in the primary process, and still has the adoration of a huge segment of the Democratic party. However, it is over and in all honesty, we need you. We need you to help us put this party back together and maintain the energy that we as a party have displayed for this entire primary season. We need you to make sure a Democrat is sitting in the White House come January 2009, and to help widen our majorities in the House and Senate.

Clinton supporters, its over and we need you...
