AB gets out of sorts about Hillary's comments on working class whites. What for? I don't know a single black person who didn't think that was true a loooong time ago. I believe it's exactly what happened here in Ohio.

Before I go any further Barack's the nominee and that's fine. But before everyone else runs off and gets offended consider the implications if she's right. His choice of running mate could make a big difference. It's just another voting block that is generally for or against a given candidate whether it bothers peoples sensibilities or not.

Progressivism begins with the world as it is.

I thought all the White Supremey vote had joined the Republican Party. Who wants the Archie Bunker vote,Out of touch, Most of them have one foot in the grave.

So why is the media allowed to discuss demographics, but Clinton isn't? Reader AB seems to be a fount of misinformation and biased opinion.

Does it occur to any of these people that these blue collar workers, these white voters, aren't voting for Obama, not because he's black, but because they don't like his economic policies? Afterall, that is the number one issue with voters - the economy, followed by the Iraq war and then health care. It so happens that with all three issues, voters respond to Clinton's policies and plans more so than Obama's.

Which economic policy of his do you think they might be disagreeing with?

I misspoke. I should have said they believe that Clinton is better able to handle economic issues than Obama and more closely aligned with their views on economic issues than Obama. They also think she is better or more closely aligned with their views on health care. Now that is what the polls say about that particular demographic, whether you agree with them or not is another story.

(I am not making arguments for either candidate and it appears that the super delegates have decided the nomination in favour of Obama, which is rather ironic when the last few months Obama supporters have been yelling that super delegates should not decide the race. I'm not making a moral judgement, I just find it ironic in the same way I find Clinton supporters' argument that Obama can't win without the white blue collar demographic, when Clinton can't win without the black demographic. Both democrats have drawbacks in demographics and both have favourable demographics. My prediction is that the race is going to be fairly close with the dem taking it at 52 - 48.)

Their economic policies were the same until she went with the gas tax pander. It is disingenuous to pretend that the issues in this capaign are about policy differences when we all know it is about differences in governanace style and ability.
