Obama Still Has Hillary in Check
The race for the 2008
Democratic Presidential Nomination has been a real chess match. On
Super Tuesday, Barack Obama gained a strategic advantage over his
opponent Hillary Clinton that he has not relinquished. When the dust
had settled, Hillary had lost most of her weapons except for her queen,
a knight and a few pawns. Barack used a comprehensive battle plan to
place Hillary in check and has not allowed her to escape.
Faced
with little chance of success, Hillary has battled on with the hope
that Obama will make enough mistakes or that she can wreak enough havoc
to regain a competitive advantage. Since falling behind, Hillary has
used her pawns to keep Obama off balance with questionable political
tactics. She has used her knight to leap from one ill-advised strategy
to another and used her queen to constantly change her position all
over the board in order to delay the end of the game.
Notwithstanding,
nothing has changed since Super Tuesday. Obama still has Hillary in
check and he still has most of his weapons. The queen is the only
weapon Hillary has left and it's been in perpetual motion. Unable to
come to terms with defeat, Hillary seems hellbent on crippling Obama
for his next opponent. Unless the rules of the game change to benefit
Hillary's position, the most she can hope for is a stalemate. With the
remote probability of any other outcome, one question begs an answer.
When will the mainstream media stop spinning and restore its
credibility by reporting this reality?

There must be something wrong with Obama if all Hillary has is the queen, and he still can't close the deal this late in the game.

The deal is closed. Hillary is just being humored until the last day of the primaries. Then its checkmate!

the deal is closed, Obama will be president and Hillary will the be junior senator from New York... I have to admire your loyalty, Otto... however, you are out of touch with reality.... Hillary was and is the inferior candidate, she was defeated by the superior candidate... case closed....

I remember someone saying that the Republicans were playing chess and the Democrats were playing checkers, and that is why the Republicans won the White House so often. Obama is playing chess. He has changed the game. It is a beauty to behold. As for the argument that Clinton is winning the general election now, and West Virginia is so d**m important, ask ex-President Dukakis how that worked out.

Fascinating isn't it how we all see what reflects our perspectives?
There's Bill out there saying Hillary's been treated with a disrespect he's never encountered before - never seen anything like it.
All her rabid women supporters are outraged by her
treatment.
Then Obama camp people are depressed that the media
has continued to give her a prominence she doesn't warrant.
I guess we all have to be patient and await the day that the final superdelegates come out and shut this down one way or another.
I must admit though that given everyone knows she's trying to get bragging rights with the popular vote, I wish Obama were spending more time in Montana and SD.

Actually, it's the universal perspective that the contest is over. Everything else is head-scratching material.

"the universal perspective"
You are of course talking about the giant universe of media and the blogosphere.
Not the other tiny universe, where 63% of registered Democratic voters want her to continue in the race.

I didn't include delusional members of the universe, therefore the 47% constitute 100%.
