Obama picks up 7 Delegates Today.
Obama picks up 7 delegates today.
-Washington State Democratic Party Chairman Dwight Pelz
-WV Sen. Robert Byrd
-Kansas Democratic Chair Larry Gates
-Alaska superdelegates Cindy Spanyers and Blake Johnson,
-Two California add-on superdelegates.
Obama needs 111 delegates more to reach 2026, and securing the Democratic nomination.. He is likely to win approximately 50 delegates in tommorrow's primaries. That would leave him just 61 short of the nomination. Obama has recieved more that 5 delegates per day over the past two weeks.
Sen. Obama has been endorsed by 302.5 super delegates.

it's the Party vs the Voters.
Whose candidate should have the nomination?
Why is the party inflicting a candidate who has not got
a prayer in hell? As McCain points out, he is a neophyte.
And he is a neophyte to mainstream America.
He spent his adult life in an atypical enclave with a
warped view of America.
Obama is nowhere near ready to be president.
The country knows it, but the Cult - er, Party
won't figure it out until November.

Hmmm. It's interesting that you think that the "Party" and the "voters" are at odds, especially considering that the majority of voters, like the majority of party-affiliated superdelegates, agree that the nominee should be Obama.

So, your solution is to give the nomination to someone who can't even beat a neophyte? That makes sense.

>Whose candidate should have the nomination?
The leader of the pledged delegates. Is that a trick question? Hopefully after this is over the Democrats will switch to a nationwide one day one vote system but untill then... the leader of the delegate count.

That would guarantee that high name-recognition candidates like Clinton get the nomination over Obama. I'm not sure that would be good for the party.

What? Illinois?

And Clinton hasn't spent the past 16 years in an enclave with a warped view of America?
What do you think the White House and the Senate is?
And don't even ask me to bring up her times as an anti-union executive on Walmart.

Hillary started with a lead of 100 superdelegates before the voting even started. It will be only fitting if she ends up 100 superdelegates short after the voting is over.

Hey, I agree with "Present": "He spent his adult life in an atypical enclave with a warped view of America."
Enclaves like Harvard and Hawaii (a true paradise) and Chicago.
If your moniker refers to Obama's votes as an Illinois state senator, I suggest you research the Illinois state house and their procedures.
Also, I want to put in my two cents, No, WAIT!, my two dollars: McCain should resurrect Dan Quayle as his president--he'd surely get the Indiana vote and next to Quayle, John McCain might actually look good.
