Obama Campaigning in Michigan/Missouri
Obama almost has the Democratic nomination locked up. As has been discussed to some extent already, he campaigned yesterday in Missouri; today, he campaigns in Michigan.
Does anyone else consider this a small mistake on Obama's part? Spending the rest of this week in Oregon probably won't matter much given the mail-in ballot format. But I think he'd want to spend as much time as possible in the other states. Spending significant time in Montana, for example, could be incredibly beneficial for the general election given that it looks to be a swing state.
Plus, while Kentucky, Montana, South Dakota and Puerto Rico are relatively small in population, it wouldn't hurt to shore up as many votes as possible for the final popular vote tally (depending on FL/MI) to deny Clinton that talking point.

no. he needs some face time in michigan. it is more important to win michigan in the ge than get a few more votes to secure some meaningless metric.

He has spent time in Montana and South Dakota;Michelle is going to PR this week and I am sure that he will end up there as well. Frankly, I think Kentucky goes the way of WV although he might want to make an appearance there.
I think he is doing the right thing by starting to take the race to McCain. The clock is ticking and since Billary won't let go until net month, why lose precious time?

Obama's gameplan has been near-perfect so far. There is a lot of work to be done in Michigan, Missouri, Florida and some of the other swing states before the general begins. The sooner he gets in front of those voters, the better.
