No soup for Hillary

One night many years ago, when I worked in a nursing home, I made the rounds of my hall to check on residents. I had to help one frail old woman to her bathroom. She was a charming but senile woman who had once been a fine librarian As we shuffled over to the bathroom, she suddenly grasped the door and turned to me. "Who's showing this property?" she demanded.
Someone, please, tell Hillary: She can cry if she wants to, but it isn't her party.
Someone, please, escort Hillary to the bathroom. But no real estate agent will be showing her the White House this year. Not any year.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, yes. Not Elaine. She's still trying to recover all the bootleg VHS tapes and looking for someone sponge-worthy.

Check this out. The author posts on a new word selection from both Hillary and also Wasserman Schulz which I hadn't picked up on: `select` a nominee, not `elect`. This woman isn't going out without being forced out.

Excellent point on something that drives me particularly bonkers. We don't elect nominees; we elect presidents. Yeesh, it's tough being a grammarian. Not, apparently, as hard as it is being Hillary.
I'm really baffled and chagrined. Actually, I passed bafflement and, um, chagrination? weeks ago. Now I giggle at each new quote. Zimbabwe? Take down OPEC? Every day a new gem. Someone, somewhere on a network today asked whether, if the media just stopped reporting on Hillary, she might just go away. That was rude, but really, what is fueling this thing?
