Missing Story: Why does Obama have so much more money than Hillary?
One story that hasn't gotten any traction is the question of why it is that Obama supporters are supporting their candidate so well financially and Hillary's supporters are not. There is a strong polarity here and it would be interesting to see what is going on here. Also of interest would be a break down of McCain financial support. He was struggling for a long time until he secured the party's nomination, then the big money poured in. Be interesting to see where it's coming from.

It's actually very simple to explain - Hillary built her fund raising machine from the tried and true big money donors whereas Obama went grassroots. You can only donate $2700, so once all of her big money backers all donated that amount they were barred by campaign finance from donating anymore.
On the other hand Obama just reached the goal of 1.5M donors, most are the >$100 variety. Also he can go back to that well monthly. If he could just get a pledge of $25 per month from each of the 1.5M donors that's $37.5M a month like clockwork. And Obama has his $2700 maxed out donors as well.

A well ran grassroots campaign vs big money campaign with out a lot of thought behind it will lose unfortunately.
