Mea Culpa
Scott McClellan's mea culpa begs the comparison to the Iraqi Propaganda officer during the U.S. invasion of Baghdad. At that moment, they both earnestly stood for their respective regimes, and in the presence of record they looked into the world's eye and proclaimed mutual annihilating narratives in the face of evidence and truth. During those first few delicate moments the first cycle bonded their successes. The next cycle eliminated them both.
