Md GOP Fundraiser Pleads Guilty
Another one bites the dust according to the Baltimore Sun:
Alan B. Fabian, a Maryland entrepreneur, philanthropist and former Republican fundraiser, pleaded guilty Friday in Baltimore federal court to a multiyear scheme that the government says defrauded banks and businesses of at least $32 million.
"This is a massive fraud," U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett said several times during the two-hour arraignment.

Republican philanthropist?
That's one mouthful of an oxymoron...

It's not an oxymoron for a Republican: he was the benefactor of his philanthropy. What could be a more sound personal economic policy than casting one's bread from one pocket to another in one's own pants?
What better way to guarantee that what goes around comes around than when the hands that are doing the washing and being washed are both one's own?
For a Republican such a circle of inclusion is never self-contradicting.

Interesting stuff. He's offered to paint a clearer picture for the court, which means this could just be the first of many heads to roll. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.
Scot, please keep us up to date!
