McCain and Liddy-- Listening to Hitler on the radio "sent an electric chill throug my body".
Okay this is just too good to be ignored. This needs to get more play on TPM.
The more that comes out about Gordon G. Liddy the more I am disturbed.
As sited in the Huffington Post article linked below:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/05/g-gordon-liddy-
john-mccai_n_100134.html
McCain's connection with Liddy is about as good as, or in my opinion much better, than Obama's relationship with Ayers. Obama has publicly repudiated Ayers' actions in the 1960's, but McCain on the other hand has been quoted in a radio interview with Liddy from last November saying:
"It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and
congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the
principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."
Now there are several interesting little factoids about Liddy sited in the HuffPo article and the ChicTrib article that originally published the story.
1) Liddy was involved in the planning of breaking into Watergate during the Nixon administration. He served four years in prison for his crime.
2) He was involved in a murder plot against a reporter that was never thankfully never carried through.
3) He was been quoted many times saying extremely inflammatory things. I think my favorite one is this:
"When he listened to Hitler on the radio, it "made me feel a strength
inside I had never known before," he explains. "Hitler's sheer animal
confidence and power of will [entranced me]. He sent an electric
current through my body."
Let's see how this plays out in the media. Will they pick it up or let is slide?
Please recommend this if you enjoyed reading it.

I didn't spell check anything 'cause I'm kind of in a hurry. So excuse all of the grammatical/spelling errors.

Liddy has always seemed to me as one who could kill someone and never give it a second thought. When I think of evildoers, he is always at the top of my list.

He claimed in his book that he was ready to kill Jack Anderson. He claimed it was a form of civil disobedience because he was prepared to pay the price; however, then why did he say he was going to use an untraceable CIA handgun made of some material that didn't retain fingerprints?
What a nutjob.

McCain is turning out to either be very very nasty or very very stupid.
His denouncing anything "anti-whatever" was so cheap and sneaky. He looked like a used car salesman.
Now he'll have to explain this, and why he thinks Liddy has shown an "adherence to the
principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."

McCain's baggage so far:
-Vicki Iseman
-Cindy (cheated on exwife with her, now married)
-Carol (injured in accident, dumped for trophy wife)
-Hagee
-Paisley
-Keating Five
-Bush
-Liddy
More to come as he gets "vetted".
