Make wearing a flag pin the 28th Amendment
I was fairly well shocked to see this sharp, snarky, scathing commentary appear at cnn.com. It just might be the finest piece of writing ever to grace their usually mundane web pages.
It's by Roland Martin and, as the title suggests, it's on the absurdity of flag pins as an issue in this election.

The pin thing is stupid, but Obama is wisely playing by the safe rules for outward patriotism.

I think part of my thing on this one is, "Who's got Obama's back?"
Why is it that we don't hear more Democratic members of Congress - especially those with good security/patriotism credentials and solid grips on thier seats - out there ridiculing ridiculous "issues" like this?
Props to Biden for consistently lending his voice to the cause.
