Lazy Minorities giving election to Obama.

Damn Lazy Minorities giving the election to Obama.

Thank God we have Hillary to point that out.

No one could state it better than her.  Obama's "support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again."

It's okay to hate her isn't it?  Indeed, it would be strange not to hate her wouldn't it?

And glad to see she has ended that divisive game.  I mean, it's not divisive to call minority voters lazy.  That's factual, right Hillary supporters?

I didn't initially link since others have already commented on this quote and linked to it. But in case you missed it, here's Hillary dishing racism to USA Today following her defeat in NC.

Well, politically speaking, she figures she's permanently lost the A-A vote, so she may as well try to drive up the white vote by being divisive.

This is what I truly hate about the Clintons. I don't think she believes what she said for a second. She's saying it just to try and run up margins in certain demographics - just like her Iran comments, her OPEC comments, and her gas tax "holiday from reality".

Yes. I respected Senator Clinton for a long time until I finally realized that being a "fighter" appears to consist solely of saying and doing WHATEVER is necessary to survive/get an edge up for the next 5 minutes, consequences be damned.

I don't honestly think she believes a quarter of what she's said. I can't respect her at all for that, because she has proven that she gets most fired up (in a positive way) when she is passionate about something she cares about.

We need a little honesty. There is no way the Clintons could have done the good they did for the country and turned out this way if they were behaving honestly or consistently. There is no way they could have gained the support of the black community had they been racists all along. I don't believe they are in any way. Senator Clinton is just willing to do whatever she has to to survive the next 5 minutes.

As long as we are on the subject of politically convenient disingenuousness, I thought that the latest This Modern World was very funny this week. Enjoy.

Doesn't this strategy risk insulting the hard working minorities who already have or would vote for her? Apparently, it doesn't matter to her who she insults as long as she covers her losses with voters who vote their fears. At this stage of the game, it's not a strategy with a lot of promise, particularly since she may insult a large number of white working people who find such a tactic repugnant.

They might as well use that word that starts with "N" because everything else they are doing is the equivalent to it.

Your link:
""I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

You know it is fine to be so supportive of a candidate you prefer but I am getting disappointed of non stop message after message inferring she is racist from a campaign who says they do not want race an issue but use it constantly against Clinton. This same discussion has been all over CNN for weeks, and the quote she used was from the AP. Everyone has been describing this as a race against his African American, well educated and monied, and college students, against her the older, working class, poorer, less educated, Hispanic.
But all of a sudden she is the racist one but no one else is? I am sorry but if I just heard this out of her lips then that is one thing, but since hearing it for weeks by most talking heads on CNN, then that is another.

Well, let's see, she's the one talking in that very article repeatedly about how working-class whites are going to support her and not her opponent.

Who's talking about race?

I have only heard Senator Obama discuss race on the campaign trail within the framework of ruling it out as a political divider. Yes, he gave his speech on race in America, but that was more of a response to the Wright imbroglio... it didn't seem to be an appeal to voters based on any racial basis.

Agreed. I challenge a Clinton supporter to come up with one verifiable example of Obama using language similar to Clinton's in the above-referenced article.

avatar

Not so fast Lee Harvey. The whole of the "Wright" controversey was about separating and defining Race in this race. He wasn't shy about using it.

He wasn't the one using Wright.

avatar

He didnt' use that controversey? What was the "speech of the century" then? Yes, yes,...I know he was healing the racial wounds within us all with his perfect insight into the situation. I think I am going make myself vomit if I don't stop.

Do you honestly think he was behind the Wright controversy getting leaked to the media just so he could make his speech on race?

Or, is it more likely that "one of his opponents" leaked the Wright controversy and his speech on race was damage control?

Please tell me you haven't crafted some elaborate imaginary plan where he leaked it to the media just so he could follow up with damage control.

avatar

Your telling me that no one at the Church alerted Obama to the fact that those tapes were being put out to be sold? Lets just say the coincidence is interesting. Especially at that time in the campaign.

Oh, wow. So you really do suspect that Obama wanted to have to do damage control.

No, I think Obama knew this might be a problem, but he also knew that if he brought it up first, he'd be accused of bringing race into the campaign. Turns out, some people accuse him of it anyway.

This is exactly right. Barack has never claimed race as part of his political capital!

avatar

Good lord your an idiot.

These kind of comments are so ironic. You've got to be careful who "your" accusing of idiocy when you are engaging in it yourself

avatar

Which makes your comments ironic then as well? Did you have a point?

OK, seriously Louisville, and this has nothing to do with the merits of your arguments, but the your/you're mistake is one that definitely stands out with you. There are some here who have such horrible grammar and/or spelling that it's not worth even bringing it up, but you seem to have just that one peccadillo, so it should be easy to fix. (We all make the occasional mistake, but this one's definitely a pattern with you.)

avatar

Holy smokes. Surely you protest too much. Yes, Ben, it has everything to do with the message. It always does with those of you on that side I have come find. Interesting behavior. I must say.

I'm sorry if I offended you. It was sincerely meant as constructive criticism, and, as I said, it has absolutely nothing to do with your message. It's just that to some of us it grates, and you otherwise write well, so I thought you might appreciate a bit of gentle correction.

Ouch, this is off-topic I know, but the Google advertisement between the post and the comments provides this tempter:

"Hillary Clinton Naked
Log-on Now for Hillary Clinton! Sexy Photos of Hillary Clinton"

I'm not even going to post the address. Whew!

Iowa has so many lazy minorities. By golly, it's scary!

What's scary is tryin' to find 'em, but trust me, they're out there, and they're throwin' a wrench in the works while we whiddle away our precious time here ...

avatar

Louisville 1975, want to back up your argument with points? When did Obama bring up the race of his constituents, ever? I've never heard of it. You are in error, sir. And your namecalling does nothing to reinforce your tenuous-at-best point.

avatar

Axelrod did it every day of the week and twice on sundays. After he got his ass handed to him in NH Axelrod needed a game changer. So he took Bill Clinton's words straight out of context and started the whisper campaign about how "racist" Bill Clinton is. To the point now that its accepted here by all that back Barack Obama that he and Hillary are indeed racist. That, sir, is the biggest load of hooey I have ever heard. So yes, he did use it time and again. There's your proof.
