It's clear now. There will be no unity, Hillary is going to try to poison Obama's candidacy.
Every Clinton surrogate is spewing talking points that are designed to delegitimize Obama's eventual nomination.
Lanny Davis on FOX alleging sexism. Gerry Ferraro on CNN alleging sexism at the hands of Black journalists. Hillary in Florida attacking the democratic party as a whole.
These attacks actually make it harder for the super delegates to support Clinton.

But she promised she wouldn't embarrass her super delegates...
I wouldn't be surprised if she tried an independent run if she can't force her way on to Obama's ticket. I think this will be her ultimate threat to Barack and the DNC.

Clinton also renewed her threats to take the issue of MI and FL to the convention today.

We should have a better indication after May 31, but the unity pony's looking more and more malnourished these days. Davis and McAuliffe on Fox today weren't encouraging, either. They sure look like they're trying to turn her supporters against not just Obama but the Democratic Party itself, as you suggest.

She's going to try and claim the center, forcing Obama to the left and McCain to the right. She'll triangulate choosing the left's universal health care and the rights hawkish foreign policy language and play Obama and McCain off of each other and then profess that I'm the happy medium. She'll use women and her much talked about white working class to give herself a solid base to start from and then go after independents with her 3rd party challenge to break the evil two-party system once and for all.
